No exception here as the uber cool Phonogenic who have sported releases on Sasha's Last Day On Earth, Cocoon and 20:20 Vision (to name a few) deliver DesenJumi, a melodic deep grooved houser with infectious percussion and cool delays flying over the subtle melody which will work a treat on the cooler floors.
Remix honours go to Alland Byallo who gives us two great remixes. His previous work has graced Poker Flat and Dirtybird so its no surprise that we are treated to some cool underground with a quirky edge. The Bad Animal Mix is the deeper mix but with an uplifting melody, while the Brokedown Mix has tinges of Detroit and nods to techno from the past.
Completing the package is Tired Being. Housey with a rather evil bass-line and infectious organ stabs lock you right in. Another quality gem.

Bio
Tuomas Salmela (aka Phonogenic) from Tampere (Finland) has been working the European dance music underground for quite some time now, with slammin' releases on 20:20 Vision, Moodmusic, Poker Flat or even the late Chicago giant GuidanceE. Well, how about his own label then, Phonogenic Audio, one of the coolest new labels to come out of Scandinavia.
2007 saw the first Phonogenic 12” release on Sven Väth’s Cocoon Recordings, titled “The Last Beer on Earth”. The release has seen a lot of support from some of the biggest DJs around and the title track was featured in BBC Radio One Essential Mix by John Digweed.
Tuomas has also been collaborating with his long time friend Jori Hulkkonen on a brand new project signed to Get Physical Music. As 'Discemi' they took their groove expertise and sound-scaping professionalism to a next level for the acclaimed "Tango Or Cash EP". And like that wasn't enough, the follow-up titled “Data Sapiens” was released on the sizzling hot UK imprint Rekids. Also included is a scorching remix by the Rekids head honcho Radio Slave.
03. Simian Mobile Disco - Unfixed (A Form of Change EP ) [Wichita Recordings | Promo]
Simian Mobile Disco will release A Form of Change EP on 1st October – the EP collects four tracks from the same recording session as SMD’s recent critically acclaimed album, “Unpatterns”, that for one reason or another, didn’t quite fit with the flow of the album order. Again we hear the band plowing the furrow of manipulating subtle modifications to machine generated patterns, allowing parts to drift and shift, and new forms to be teased out.

04. Matt Black - Lightcycle (Kieran J Remix) [unreleased]
Matt Black, a UK DJ/Producer involved in the London & Manchester scenes, currently runs Segment Records.
Irish (Killarney based) electronic music producer Kieran J describes his sound as 'deep and funky'. Kieran also has a new EP package "Time Is Now' out on 99 Percent Recordings, with Martin Garcia, Santiago Garcia and Dark Soul Project add some Argentinian flavour to proceedings with their remixes.
As Saschienne, Sascha Funke has formed a duo extraordinaire with multi-talented instrumentalist, singer and wife Julienne Dessagne, displaying an expressivity previously unknown to anyone following his solo work. Far away from the romantic hokum of crude feel-good songwriting, both not only focus on on the harmony and bliss, but explore the discord, the misunderstandings that great love brings with it. Saschienne's debut "Unknown" was released by Kompakt [KOM 255] in March 2012. Here we get an unofficial remix by Rosario's Mario Puccio.
Mario's musical education ranges across sounds from the piano, bass, guitar and percussion, taking in orchestral and film elements, as well as electronic. He has had releases on Stripped Digital (England) / Hype Muzik (England) / Lowbit Records (England) / Undertechnical (United Kingdom) and appeared on Resident shows 030 (Rosario) and 069.
Mario's unofficial remix has been getting plays from Hernán Cattáneo, most recently during his 6 hour at Woodstock, in Bloemendaal (Holland).
06. Asten - Memories [Aura Music | AURM006]
Asten (aka Evgeniy Suglobov from Stupino, Russia) returns with a new solid release - Memories. Original is deep and melancholic as always, and remixes brings more club sound - some kind of melodic techno by Dan Kubo and powerful progressive tune from Escenda.
Asten has been on Residents 050 (Over The Mountains) and 057 (Microtrauma’s 'Offshore Dub' of Asten's 'Borealis').
Graziano Raff returns to Resident, after productions on 031 (Mati Vila's 'Weekend Mix' of Graziano Raffa & Alberto Blanco's 'Weekend Heroes') 051 ('Answers') 060 (Graziano Raffa & Alberto Blanco Remix of Diyo's 'Smooth Ride').
