James Holden's mixes are the best out there right now IMHO. His Balance 006 is better than any GU in a long time. It's a really stellar mix. I have a few of his live mixes and they are all very solid.
anyhow. that is his best set, the cd is. Most of his sets have very poor poor mixing, actually all do. The one thing he does have going is his song selection. Most are very/pretty good.

I think his mixing is good but his track selection is poor. Too boring for my tastes and yes his sets are getting techier and techier.
NOT YOU!!!!!!!!!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
one of the worst live djs I've seen. He's managed to trainwreck a number of mixes everytime I've seen him, even managing to trainwreck a mix using ableton at space miami during the conference (or so I was told). He'll play some great tunes, but truly lacks any direction or flow.
My opinion, it's a waste of money...you're better off staying home and mixing some of your favorite tunes. You'll probably do a better job of it!
"Work like you don't need the money.
Love like you've never been hurt.
Dance like nobody's watching.
Sing like nobody's listening.
Live like it's Heaven on Earth."
if he mix like he produce, holy shit.....take care of that guy, 1 week ago were holden & skinner......ask skinner if he played good, told me yes, dont know really.....was playing in other club....
