Re: Porterhouse Party
i went with ska for a little bit at around 10pm or so and it was way too housey. Like Spanish/Latin House, so we left to go to the loaded party. Many people would sooner die than think; In fact, they do so.

Phil & Fluff were on while Local and I were there and it was very discoesque. Wanted to come back in time to catch Steve & Eli thrown down but Darkarma's Live PA at the 'Loaded' party wasA good shower head and my right hand - the two best lovers that I ever had.Comment

Re: Porterhouse Party
Porter's set may be the best set I heard all conference. He just pounded it out start to finish playing tunes I'd never heard before with everyone in the entire place in a frenzy!
When I ran into him the next day, he'd even said that that may have been his favorite set ever. He loved how the crowd was into it and he had a blast. I have to agree
Oh, and Wilkie's set was damn good too for as long as I was there...too bad I only caught the last half hour or so of it and Bon Johnson live was somewhat interesting, banging beats and twisted vocals, but didn't really move me too much."Work like you don't need the money.

You da man...but frankly: he's one of my fav DJ's, but the guy has this total average look, so I prolly wouldn't recognize if I was having a convo with him...Blowkick visual & graphic design - No Civilization. Now With Broadband.

Re: Porterhouse Party
To me this was the illest party there. there was no stopping Porter that night. his mixing was flawless and i've never heard anyone mix in and out of records so quickly and make it sound so perfect. it seems as though the basslines took over the melody which seems to be where most of the music is heading anyway. which is just how i like it. it was my favorite show out of what i went to. whatever track he played at the end must have been an original ( and I'm not talking about "bust a move")." Re: Porterhouse Party
That show was absolutely great. All the music seemed to flow, starting at the bottom and then hitting Steve, where he took the crowd and did whatever he wanted with us. Bassline heaven. The only thing that sucked is when this damn light got stuck ON right next to me. It seemed to scare a lot of people and piss a lot off. But at least it got turned off haha.
Best display of house music i heard all week long. Next time i think i'll take it slow on the floor cause i couldnt walk the next day for Ultra. Oh well.Comment
