The Essential Mix: 1993

The EM collections from RS and Soundcloud are both gone, so I'm re-uploading a few sets. The very first Essential Mix was broadcast by Radio1 on October the 30th, 1993, hosted by you know who ("Make some noise!!!"). Among the first few shows, some legendary mixes by Weatherall, Rampling, FSOL, Boy's Own.

These 1993 mixes are all "New conversions" (analog source, vhs tape) from The Mixing Bowl.

They are. Minidisc might've even better quality (but debatable if SVHS was used, and even then I don't think there were any 2-hour minidiscs for sale back in 1993). Both are sure as hell an upgrade over 60, 90 or 120-minute cassette tapes.
