Advice for buying home desktop cpu

Believe it or not I have never purchased a desktop cpu. I always had hand me down lap tops but its getting real old.
I just wanted to know if anyone can make any recommendations on what i should be looking for in purchasing a home desktop.

I have tons of music and hd mp4 videos so i know i need the max storage which i believe is 1tb

Also I was looking to mainly use it for music and watching those high def videos. I like to hook my home stero to my cpu so I really want to make sure it has top notch sound when i play tunz

For the stuff you are going to do, you will be fine with an Intel Core i5 CPU, 4gigs of ram and 1tb+ HD.
Also if you want top notch sound get a good sound card instead of using the motherboards integrated audio.

I'd suggest you build it yourself since its really easy and cheap.
    Dont panic, its organic.
