Doesn't sound too cut and dry to me. Also Nate Silver has Obama at an 82% chance of winning as of today. He is using statistics and not any gut feeling crap and says the media portrayal of the race being neck and neck is way off base. Read the five thirty eight blog he writes for more info.

Yes, I've seen that one.

The part I am not certain about is the methodology of the polling. In particular, whether or not the polls have been using the 2008 voter turnout model. 2008 saw record turnout levels among minorities, and a relatively muted enthusiasm from conservatives about McCain. If the polls are using 2008 turnout for their samples now, then I believe there will be an oversampling of democrats.

So I'm not arguing against the statistical analysis of the Electoral map you posted.... but rather the polls in the individual states which he is using to create the analysis. If those polls are wrong, then it skews the entire analysis.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think that this election is going to have a result that leaves many of these pollsters scratching their heads.

It must be cognitively easier for your to feel that there was no need to send assistance to an Ambassador, American servicemen, and an American Embassy since they presumptively would not have arrived in time .......... than it would be to think that dispatching any and all help in the area would be of paramount importance regardless of when the help would arrive.


You call the terrorists 'bad bearded men' when you don't actually believe that. You minimize their actions and start attacking - like a cornered dog - white people (?) who apparently are scared of visiting NYC (another mental creation of yours). You're not concerned with the actions of legitimate terrorist organizations no more than you are concerned with the facts. Your concern is not with the perpetrators of this violent act against Americans - your concern is with white people who are not playing along with you in your mental sandbox.

Succinctly: you are concerned only with reinforcing your ego against the reality that could fracture it. Build your little sand castles, make believe all you want, but the natural elements will weather it away in the end.

Maintaining your alternative reality is surely a Sisyphean task, that at some point there won't be enough lubrication to keep the illusion generator running and the cogs will lock up.

I didn't know every act if violence in the Mideast now days is via some terrorist group. Sounds a bit outlandish to me.
As I said this is a huge blow up with Romney now not because he actually cares about who died, but trying to use it as a talking point to get elected.

Maybe it isn't that black and white? I'd like to know how the reports of violence etc stacked up against the reports from the region from every day of the year prior? Maybe the report was exactly the same as it had been for the past months without any actual issues? Maybe this report was insignificant vs prior months? Maybe it was a huge glaring red flag? Those small things might be nice to know...

Also, anyone who thinks this coordinated attack suddenly resulted from a video that negatively depicted Mohammad has fried their brains from too much MessNBC and other similar Pravda-like propaganda. ^No one but morons think the video had anything to do with it anymore...Also Rand Paul looked like a moron asking about weapons to Turkey. He admitted the next day on the radio he didnt have any evidence of anything about it, he just heard the #1 idiot Glenn Beck talk about it and then brought it up. Fail.
