Just saw on the news that southern and eastern Ontario will also be experiencing the effects of hurricane Sandy. Stocking up on water, candles and beer. I wish everyone who path she crosses to be safe!

About 1.5 km from the coast of lake Ontario. : )

I was on vacation in Cancun back in 2005 when Hurricane Wilma hit. I was stranded in a shelter for 6 days cause of this hurricane. It started as a tropical storm then moved to a category 1 hurricane and then escalated to a category 5.
I live in New Jersey and I'm 10 miles away from the shore area. I'd be lying if I said i'm not worried but at the same time considering what i went through the 1st time around with Hurricane Wilma and what happened lat year with Hurricane Irene, this should be a cake walk for meComment
