Re: Digweed live in London 4xCD
Since when did JD get into his vocal tracks so much?
I can't really comment on anything new but, I'm not really a huge fan of this to be honest. Cannot say this is the best mix I've heard by JD, but obviously one of the better releases as a CD.
Obviously this CD will grow on me especially 1 & 2, but until then I personally do think it's just another bulk standard JD release - close to perfection.
Really dwelling into the programming/sequencing as expected it is brilliantly done even god's cannot master this, but I do think track selection was what that was not doing it for me. Surprisingly just lacked a little continuity.
I personally think if I look back at 2012 - Renaisance Masters by Hernan would be my pick for a mix CD followed closely by Weatherall's Masters.
But this is just my opinion.
Thanks killjoy I just bought it...still yet to check out the others.Comment

"The Bedrock party in London was amazing and there were no plans to release the mix when i went into the party, but when i listened back to the recording it made total sense to release this album for the fans. I took four separate sections from the night to make sure the 4xCD package gives you a full experience from the night."
I am still amazed that he didn't go into it knowing that they might do this...Comment

Re: Digweed live in London 4xCD
I remember being surprised by the number of vocal tracks too, but I remember his early Northern Exposure, Renaissance days, even the early 2000s of deep/dark prog phase, he liked his vocal tracks.
I think the vocals on this come as a surprise because we haven't heard him drop this kinda housey vocals on his Kiss shows or any other sets in a while.

I got pics and video. But I will upload them in the morning. I need to smoke this nice phat joint and just close my eyes and replay the amazingness in my head.Comment
