    That's fairy snuff.

I think I am going to just grab the digital download on this from Beatport on the Monday then, dont own a CD player anymore anyway, so would just have the hassle of ripping 4 discs.

Looking at the track list that is only about 20% of 4 cds, and mainly disc 1.
I wish there was more of that, sounds like the early Digweed from '93 and '94 to me.

speaking of ripping, what do u guys use to rip cds? whenever i try to rip them i always get a real quick pause or gap between the tracks.

is there a special way or program to rip them where it will sound like a continuous mix??

My fav program for years has been EAC, with the LAME codec.

                www.exactaudiocopy.de

I rip the tracks separately then use Soundforge to make them one big track... I'm sure there is an easier method by now though.

This said, I prefer FLAC to mp3s

I use XLD on the Mac. Otherwise as Dusk said EAC + LAME is the scene standard. However it rips a single huge mp3 with cue file for continuous play.

chuckc what mp3 player are you using?

I got pics and video. But I will upload them in the morning. I need to smoke this nice phat joint and just close my eyes and replay the amazingness in my head.

If you want a ripped CD, surely the box set and proper non CDRs is better than buying the MP3 ?

You can also WAV or go apple lossless ?

This release was mastered direct from vinyl at the request of the DJ and as such features natural sound characteristics of this medium such as record surface noise.

what do u mean by proper non cdrs??

I already bought the signed cd boxed set but like others on here like to have it digitally on the cpu to listen to on instead of a cd player. I am a bit illiterate when it comes to technical stuff.

just wanted to know the best way to get the music from the cds onto my cpu as a continuous mix thats all... usually when i extract trax with free ware i normally use i can hear a fraction of a second sound between the trax which is very annoying.

usually use winamp to play mp3

ah ... though people were talking about ripping CDs from the MP3.

Winamp can rip files from the CDs to WAV or MP3.

Easy CD-DA Extractor, Roxio & I think itunes will rip all tracks as 1 MP3.

I also use XLD on my mac. Great program that also rips CDs to apple lossless which I personally prefer to FLAC because I can add covers to my ripped CDs.

i use foobar2000 for everything. Playing cd's, ripping to flac or mp3 in single tracks or as one file. Works really great too
