Do we have any idea how many of these John signed?

Fuck I love Digweed. This is just what I needed. Even my 2 year old son is jamming to this - Fist pump city with him.

As I've already mentioned, ditto! The wait is kicking my ass. May have to drag myself down to Fabric next Saturday just to relieve the pressure

i believe he signed 1000 copies.

cd2 is where its at for me, especially the second half, cd1 is a close second. cd3/4 i wasnt feeling the second time around as much, but i can tell 1 and 2 will rock out for a very very long time. those first two disks are instant classics.

yup just under 1,000 have been signed and we are down to the last 100 copies left and just in case anyone is interested we've just done a Christmas deal on the hoodies and t shirts giving away either £10 worth of CD's or £10 worth of posters respectively

In Madrid for Diggers at Mondo tonight Blasted through 1&2 repeatedly ... CD3 on the flight, very underground but broken up by some nice vocals to keep the groove going, will still sound great in 5 years time.

Visiting my good mate Vish (Funkykarma) who is well impressed with CD2 ... the Jemmy/Stel V/Mohn segment has been on repeat.

This release was mastered direct from vinyl at the request of the DJ and as such features natural sound characteristics of this medium such as record surface noise.

I agree cd 1 & 2 will stand the test of time IMO.

                      Still haven't heard 3 & 4 yet.

damn it. I've just read the interview attached above and all of a sudden booked an overnight flight to London for Dec 22th.

Digs Says "When it was just turntables and a mixer, it was a level playing field—you could either mix records or you couldn’t. Today, with Traktor, Ableton, and the latest CDJs, those loose mixes have all been tightened up with technology, so now the real skill is the track selection and how you create the mood for your set. I think these formats are great, but can also lend themselves to allowing the same playlists to be played night after night as it`s right there in front of you and it worked the night before. This might work for some DJs, but for me, I always want to try and challenge myself with new mixes at every gig. As for pre- recorded sets—DJs that just press play—that’s a whole other debate."

so true. sometimes i wish it was still back in the day when u had to have a real skill to mix and play live.

crazy thing is it really has been only a little over 10 years where this was still the case.

Re: Digweed live in London 4xCD

I've given this 2 complete listens now. An absolutely superb comp overall. I would rank the discs as 1>2>3>4 in terms of what I enjoy the most. The last half hour on disc 4, bar the last track, are a bit ploddy for me, but I think that's because the rest of the comp is such high quality.

As simonr mentioned, the Jemmy, Mohn, Mohn section is superb. Feels like the end of a set rather than hour 2.

I really hope Digweed continues this format and that other djs take heed.
