Re: The bold and repeated lying
Soetoro publicly claimed it was not a tax, that's my only point. Of course, his legalese freaks obviously argued to the contrary in order to fuck us good.Comment

Do you seriously expect politicians to be truthful? Aside from the "human element' of course.you could put an Emfire release on for 2 minutes and you would be a sleep before it finishes - Chunky
it's RA. they'd blow their load all over some stupid 20 minute loop of a snare if it had a quirky flange setting. - Tiddles

Re: The bold and repeated lying
Well, especially not this one who campaigned on no mandate but then turned around and passed this pile of piss in a purely partisan manner. I should have lowered my expectations, but I like to point out the inconsistency for those who call this a tax in order to bolster their argument of Supreme Court legitimacy (but ignore the administration's public claim that it's only a penalty). It may ultimately be a game of semantics (an art that Clinton mastered), but I'll be damned if I can ignore it.Comment

You religion isn't all that different than romney's mormonism. Your gods may be different, your institutions may be different, your doctrines may be different, and your mysteries may be different, but in the end, your religiosity is on par with his.
Why do you pretend otherwise?
Well, I think I already covered your 'pretending'.
As far as religion goes, I can only shake my head at the both of you.
Snark is the magic underpants of your religion. It makes its users feel good and safe and secure, but everyone else sees it and laughs at how awkward it must be.you could put an Emfire release on for 2 minutes and you would be a sleep before it finishes - Chunky

When you buy a car, you expect it to all work properly.
One can hope.
If this is not going to work properly, then again, enlighten us as to why this may be so. I 'get' the human element component. However, it's as much a throwaway line as ending a movie with "it was all a dream."
If it is not going to work properly, tell us where to look and why that might be so.
Otherwise, readers will have to assume that you believe it is a flawless system and that, notwithstanding the 'human element', it's implementation will otherwise be perfect.
Do you believe this? Or do you believe there could be flaws beyond the human element?you could put an Emfire release on for 2 minutes and you would be a sleep before it finishes - Chunky

You posted, based on the work of someone who has a ton of time to post threads on reddit, that everything is going to be alright. That everything is going to work.

Re: The bold and repeated lying
The verbiage of the bill itself gives the secretary such overreaching power with what must be dozens upon dozens of "The secretary shall," that we might as well be their lowly subjects. The ones who passed it are naturally immune from any side effects. What could possibly go wrong?Comment

Romney's version of "eh, people who don't have health insurance can get health care by going to the Emergency Room. Job Done." is more Commy-like than Obamacare no matter how you look at it. Under Romney's train of thought, you are forcing someone to go to a Emergency Room and effectively having you, me, and everyone else pay for their services because they do not have insurance. At least with Obamacare, you are forcing people to buy insurance from a private company (something Republicans are hell-bent on forcing everything to nowadays) in order to get health care... and yes we have something like this already, it's called Auto & Home Insurance, same fuckin thing generally.
You would logically think that Republicans would Love this bill because when you think about it... as noted before and talked about on SEVERAL different news sites, Obamacare is effectively a Federal version of Romneycare from Mass. This whole mandate was originally a Republican idea. The only reason Republicans hate it now is because they arent the ones putting it into place--pure 100% partisan bullshit politics."pics or stfu" - R.I.P. Steve "Jibgolly" JamesComment

Is that all you do is spew your partisan bullshit with absolutely no back up? Instead of NAMING a handful of points you just put a link to a 2000+ page document and tell us to read it while you fail to read a simple article he posted before? FFS dude.. I apologize but that just annoys me.

Perhaps we can make it global healthcare? Why simply limit it to one nation?
"You would logically think..."
The 10th Amendment, therefore, is a partisan amendment. We should probably redact it.you could put an Emfire release on for 2 minutes and you would be a sleep before it finishes - Chunky

PS. I NEVER claimed I liked it. I don't give a flying fuck who came up with it (Heritage organization), so quit telling me what I am and mind your own fucking business. If it was so excellent, it should have been passed into law in the 90s when it was introduced. It wasn't popular then and it isn't now. If a state chooses to go this route, they have every right to do so, just as MA did.
You know what, I'm putting you on ignore because I don't need to read this kind of vitriol and risk a heart attack while you spit venom at the screen.Last edited by vinnie97; November 21, 2012, 05:52:06 PM.Comment
