CLR Podcast 195 – Material Object It is Monday the 19th of November 2012 and we have Material Object for the first time on the CLR Podcast, with an exclusive mix featuring many of his old and new favourites as well as several of his recent original productions, collaborations and remixes. The Berlin based electronic artist from Australia is an internationally acclaimed dj and producer of quality Techno, Experimental and Ambient music.In 2012 he did two memorable collaborations, one of them as 'Magnus' with Tim Xavier and the other one as 'MODZ' with Dustin Zahn, which is out on Droid Recordings from LA. He also released his 2nd full length Ambient / Experimental album, a collaboration with his friend Pete Namlook who passed away on November 8th. When Chris Liebing recorded the voiceovers for this podcast before leaving to the US, he was still unaware of this sad loss, that´s why we would like to take this opportunity to dedicate the present podcast to one of the truly inspiring, prolific and highly influential producers, composers and label-heads in the world of Techno and Ambient music - the great Pete Namlook! Material Object can be experienced live at Tresor in Berlin on upcoming Saturday, November 24th, before he is off to a little USA and Mexico tour with gigs in Minneapolis, Detroit, New York and Guadalajara.
