    Release Info:

    01. Sven Weisemann - Light Sway [Telrae | TELRAE013]

We think we do not have to introduce Sven Weisemann, but for all of you who are not familiar with his work... Sven has released on top labels such as Delsin, Smallfish, Echocord, Liebe Detail and maybe the label he is mostly associated with is Mojuba records, which is based in Berlin. His release for Telrae starts with Elapse a track so detached from everything and at the same time so earthly, it gains that mystic touch some trax radiate. It is again a timeless track on Telrae what we think is a quality we strive for. Light Sway seems harder at first but turns out to be more melodic and light than Elapse and so the title fits it just right!

    02. Pitto - Richklap [Wolfskuil Ltd | WLTD019]

Good things come to those who wait. Pitto’s deep house smash ‘Richklap’ has been on the shelves for about 4 years since we first heard this little gem. Just like with good wine, some tracks need time to grow and develop before they reach their peak. Richklap is now fully developed and best enjoyed in 2012 and beyond. The track showcases Pitto in rare form and has one of the most beautiful melodies we have ever released on the label. It sounds like a tragic love poem, wich is emphasized by the beautiful female vocals wich fade in and out of the song.

Dusty and the Viola Mix of Richklap more upbeat, jazzed up disco and house influenced track along the lines of his 2011 album ‘Objects In A Mirror Are Closer Then They Appear’. Pitto can create hooks that are instantly recognizable, more often then not with the use of classical jazz and pop instruments. In these cases a saxophone and guitar are his weapons of choice.

Pitto’s first ever release appeared on Phil E, sublabel of the world famous house and disco label Philpot from Stuttgart. He and label head Jackmate aka Soul Phiction have been good friends for many years, so it made more then sense to ask Michel to reinterpret Richklap. He made a more solid foundation for the fragile original, without losing the intensity and atmosphere.

    FEEDBACK

Jimpster - “Absolutely massive EP! Best Pitto stuff yet in my opinion and the remixes totally hit the spot too. Big up Pitto!”
Maya Jane Coles - “This is a REALLY nice EP! Feeling everything on here... Support!”
Sebo K - “And yet another dope package from Pitto!! Will definitely play all of this!”
Patrice Baumel - “This shit jacks HARD! Pitto takes no prisoners! Love it! Jackmate maybe coming out on top for me personally, but all great!”
Joris Voorn - “Great tunes again!! Nice one Pitto.. Strong EP!!”
Ripperton - “Great tune Pitto! Love especially the Richklap original and that huge Jackmate remix!”
Luca Bacchetti - “This is a really beautiful record!!! Digging all the original tracks! Of course Jackmate remix is great! Caught a Massive Attack sample in the groove.. Am I wrong?”
Ryan Crosson – “Jackmate remix is DOPE!! The Bass at 3.28 is KILLER!!”

    03. M.A.N.D.Y - Superstitious [Get Physical Music | GPM200]

Get Physical is in its tenth year; and up to its 200th (Single) release. To celebrate, founders and owners M.A.N.D.Y. went to the studio in Brooklyn with their soulmate Jimmy Vallance; and what they came out with is nothing short of enchanting.

'Twisted Sister' is a deep blend of driving percussion and beautiful basslines laced together by ambient elements floating throughout the track. The track itself is a perfect example for superior and modern sound design and will certainly find its way into various DJ bags.

'Superstitious' raises the kicks and adds various layers of pads to create the late night feeling we all know and love. The synths rise and fall, elevating the temperature and energy creating a heavy vibe that is sure to make you sweat.

    04. Karmon - Feel It [Diynamic Music | DIYNAMIC061]

One of Diynamic´s most recent family additions is the lively young talent, Karmon. Hailing from the Netherlands, Karmon released his first full EP on Hamburg´s Diynamic label and is now back stronger than ever with the `Can You Feel It EP´.

Evolving into a true Diynamic artist with skills and style that seamlessly fit the Diynamic philosophy, this next EP from Karmonconveys a growing sophistication in the producer – an ability to make feel good funked up house with rich sonic textures and an accessible heart beat.

Opener is the dreamy `Take My Hand feat. Terry Shand´, a track that literally takes you by the hand to leads you through cold winter days. The huge power of its warm melody and the supporting vocals by Terry Shand embrace all kinds of music tastes, fusing mid-tempo sultry funk with upbeat keys, moody stabs and romantic reverie. The `Dub´ again highlights Karmon´s smooth credentials.

On the flip, `When Dark Becomes Night´ oozes late night atmosphere with a build to get the dance-floor warmed up. Its relaxed piano keys and the short but very intense break unite flawlessly with the melodic bass-lines. The result is a classic Diynamic earworm, hard not to love.

The second B-side track `Feel It´ is an irresistibly punchy composition of freewheeling melodies and wonderfully arranged synths and bass-lines, giving its listeners a feeling of total clarity and inner consciousness on the dance-floor. WE FEEL IT!

    Catalog No: DIYNAMIC #DIYNAMIC061
    Release Date: 26.11.2012

    05. Maceo Plex - Filthy Mama [Ellum Audio| ELL009]

The unstoppable force that is Maceo Plex is back on board his own Ellum Audio imprint after his huge collaboration with Jon Da Silva took the world by storm and proved to be one of the biggest tracks of the year. Never failing to deliver, the 'Space Junk EP' is another slice of dance floor magic, Maceo Plex style.

First up 'Filthy Mama' demonstrates Maceo's undeniable talent and signature sound with seductive grooves and deep, grumbling undertones. This solid house hit is tinted with disco flare yet embodies that funky, modern and hypnotic house the producer is so well known for with on point vocals that make it stand apart. There's no question that the producer has studio masterstrokes to spare, acutely aware of what works the floor.

Over on the B-side 'Stimulation' takes a deeper and harder turn for the late night ravers. Still noticeably a Maceo track, it adopts a big room driving sound with a thumping bass followed with intricate pacey percussions. Siren haunts fall into the vortex of sonic sounds, echoing and all encompassing for that dance floor effect, with warm synths flowing through the beautiful yet eerie layers.

Not many artists have the ability to envision a fresh sound and make such a signature stamp on modern dance music. Eric Estonel aka Maceo Plex has done just that, not only under his Maceo Plex moniker but also as Maetrik so it's no surprise he's been dominating the global scene. Now settled in Barcelona, Maceo balances a hectic touring schedule with plenty of studio time, prolific output released via heavyweight labels such as Leftroom, Crosstown Rebels, No.19, Watergate and Defected.Naturally, Ellum Audio is also becoming home to some classic Maceo Plex and the 'Space Junk EP' is no exception.

    06. Panama - It's Not Over (Kölsch Remix) [Future Classic | FCL79]

A classically trained pianist from the age of six, Jarrah McCleary grew up in the sticky heat of the Northern Territory. His previous project, The Dirty Secrets saw the band working between Australia and London with iconic producer and engineer, Nick Terry (Klaxons, Libertines). After working on ideas for a new record for over two years, in early 2011, McCleary declared a new album and boarded the airplane, bound for Los Angeles. Between splashes of yacht rock, trop-pop and nods to Peter Gabriel (thanks to the iconic 80s Yamaha DX7 synth), a short summer experience in the city where dreams are made lead to tracks tinged with hints of hopeful house music strewn with the sleaziness of Venice beach and too much free poured tequila. And so, Panama was born.

From Future Classic, the iconic Australian indie dance label and home to recent ascending talents Flume and Flight Facilities, comes their newest signing – Sydney quintet Panama.

Panama first made themselves known with acclaimed debut single ‘Magic’, which was accompanied by remixes from disco deviants Midnight Magic and Gavin Russom. Their debut ‘It’s Not Over’ EP picks up on that bright promise while expanding it’s palette with six tracks that are equally awash with intoxicating rhythm as they are detailed with personal, reflective hues. The EP will also be accompanied by a special ‘It’s Not Over’ 12″ release featuring a stellar cast of remixes of the track from .

His previous project, The Dirty Secrets saw the band work between London and Australia with producer and engineer, Nick Terry (Klaxons, Libertines).

The EP was recorded in Los Angeles with super producer Eric Broucek, of DFA Records fame (Holy Ghost, LCD Soundsystem) and assisted on the rhythm section by Jim Orso (Holy Ghost, Hot Chip) on drums.

Underground Allstars - She Rises In The East
    (Coming soon!)

'Where music meets a good cause' with Producers 'Tarrentella & Redanka', 'Luke Brancaccio' and 'TILT'

The aim is to generate as much money as possible for a very brave little boy 'Billy' who suffers from Apert Syndrome. We want to raise as much money as possible to buy essential equipment little Billy needs.. Hopefully we can do this by doing what we do best - making music and raising awareness!!

Were delighted to announce that our fundraising project 'Underground Allstars' - " She Rises In The East " has found a home on a NEW scottish underground label Pro B Tech Records. Look out in 2013 for package which will include such artists as Stelios Vassiloudis (Bedrock), Fulvio Perniola DJ (Fathers of Sound), Redanka (U2), Kenny Shifter (Toolroom, Quivver), Luke Brancaccio (Bedrock), Ben Shaw & Ben Summers aka Namespace (Mesmeric Records) and of course TILT. Also a huge thank you to Martin Kimberley (Golden Eye Artwork), Chris Bourne, Steven Wilkins (Banner Design), Lee Fredericks (Killahurtz), Steve Parry and Melanie (SMP3 Music Promo). 08. Tone Of Arc - I Know Who You Are [Bang The Box | BTBO010]

Tone Of Arc is Producer/guitarist/bassist/pianist/drummer/Vocalist also known as Dead Seal is Derrick Boyd teaming up with his partner in rhyme, Zoe Presnick. Together they are a perfect performance peace leaving no one on the dance floor short of enthralled.

At the turn of the year San Francisco's Tone Of Arc were tipped by Maceo Plex as one of his 5 to watch in 2012. Ahead of a full artist album come a couple of EPs:

"Well there is another couple ep’s coming out actually before the album. One on my old and dearest friend Lance Desardi aka Land Shark and Brett Johnson’s label Bang the Box call “I know Who You Are” with 2 tracks I did 4 years ago coming out any day now and another dance ep on NO.19 in December I think with 4 more big floor songs I did in the past three years till recent." [Tone Of Arc]

    [Ibiza Voice Review 8.5/10]

Derrick Boyd has been bubbling under for a few years now as one of dance music’s most forward thinking artists and there has always been a sneaking suspicion that given the right project this guy could be the next big pop star in the US. Tone of Arc, his new duo, may finally be just the vehicle for him with a debut album on No.19 Music on the way in the near future. “I Know Who You Are” is an EP teaser in advance of this upcoming album from the San Francisco label Bang The Box. The single has the unfortunate timing of hitting the promo circuit at precisely the same moment as No. 19’s single culled from the upcoming album. While most will forsake this gem in favor of the mid-tempo weirdness of the other EP and what is sure to be a quite interesting album, this particular single is a nice retro leaning throwback with two quality originals a decent remix tossed in by former Land Shark band mate Lance DeSardi.

The title track is a flawless example of what can be done with the whole mid-tempo nudisco craze if artists dare to give it a little attitude and not just try to crank out another track for the dance floor. The attitude here comes in the form of a formally structured song with strong vocals and real musical progressions that are compelling. This version also has a noticeable predilection for darker, underground sounds that will keep it off the radio, which may not be the case with Tone of Arc’s other upcoming material.

Lance DeSardi takes the b-side “Have They Any Wool?” in a funkier direction than the other material on this single. There is a gentle San Francisco house sway here that recalls the OM Records’ vision of deep house. And while the groove is good and the deep house elements solid it sounds like child’s play in comparison to the two originals.

“Have They Any Wool” is an acquired leftfield taste of twangy guitars, acid bass lines, real bass lines, soulful vocals, and just about everything else that has ever made recorded music worth listening to. The way Boyd and his girlfriend Zoe Presnick’s vocal harmonies intertwine in the spare vocals is just one example of what makes both this track and Tone of Arc a different level of excellence.

    09. Ed Congreave - Heal [Deep Shit | DPSHT001]

Ed Congreave is best known for quietly marshaling an arsenal of analogue gear within Oxford's 3rd greatest band Foals (after Ride and Swervedriver, of course). In between sprinkling his unique electronic magic on their upcoming 3rd album he's been honing his own production skills - the first fruits of which we find here.

Wow, Digweed saving one of the better guest mixes for year-end. This'll easily go into 2012's list.

Love the remix of Bat for Lashes, reminds me of Kate Bush.
