    Release Notes:

    01. Luciano - Rise Of Angel [Cadenza Music | Cadenza82]

'Rise Of Angel' is the brand new single from Luciano, and the first single to be taken from his forthcoming album, due in 2013. However, for the many thousands of dedicated music fans who have made the pilgrimage to Luciano's hugely successful parties this Summer in Ibiza (the weekly Ushuaia sessions and Vagabundos at Pacha), or the many Cadenza parties around Europe and North America, 'Rise Of Angel' has already become the signature tune and musical hi-light in Luciano's sets, making its release a highly anticipated moment for the Cadenza faithful.

Clocking in at over 15 minutes, 'Rise Of Angel' is an epic slice of modern electronic dance music, the simply Balearic, synth and piano driven hook gently builds and teases with cinematic intent, the light percussion and organic beats working the old Luciano magic, it's no wonder that 'Rise Of Angel' has become one of the most talked about tracks of the Ibiza season this year.

For the remixes, Luciano has kept it in the family, enlisting the duties of fellow Cadenza artists Mirko Loko, UNER and Andrea Oliva to all lend their unique production styles to a solid set of reinterpretations. The vinyl 12" is coupled with Mirko Loko's pulsating robotic workout, adding a more beats driven take on Luciano's original, and delving into the bass for a heavyweight techno flecked remix.

And bolstering the digital package, UNER weighs in with a dubbed out, rolling drum version, using the vocal FX to support the groove whilst the pianos ride over the mix, and Andrea Oliva goes straight for the 4/4 jugular with a remix that builds solid tribal beats to a crescendo, adding a new dimension to the Original with a choice vocal section.

'Rise Of Angel' will be Luciano's first release on his own Cadenza label since 2010's Lucien-N-Luciano's 'Cuidad De Luz' EP, and marks the start of another big chapter in his career, having spent the last couple of years building a passionate audience through hundreds of DJ performances around the world, the Vagabundos events and collaborating musically with artists such as Pharrrell (Neptunes) and Lenny Kravitz. His forthcoming album will be his second full length collection (following 2009's ‘Tribute To The Sun’), and his label, Cadenza Records, will celebrate its 10th anniversary, so the future certainly looks bright for the Chilean producer and DJ.

    02. James Zabiela - The Healing (Midland Tape Remix) [Born Electric | BE001]

James Zabiela’s debut release on his long-awaited label is announced. ‘The Healing’ is released on December 10th with the strongest of remix packages. The legendary and much loved Hot Chip lead the way with Midland and James also contributes his own ‘85’ re-edit.

The original is a beautiful and expansive piece of music with vocals from James. Hot Chip made their mix almost entirely live; with signature HC drive it still retains a strong nod to James’ original. Midland recorded his onto cassette tape for added warmth and crackles on the line; and for those not yet turned onto Club Root this atmospheric mix carries far further than his so called ‘bass’ routes…

    03. Mike Dunn - Not The Same (F.E.X. Remix) [Systematic Recordings | SYST1007-6]

Out 12-Dec incl. remixes from F.E.X and Melon

    04. Shlomi Aber - Foolish Games feat. Möggli [Be As One Imprint | BAO/038]

Shlomi Aber delivers on his own Be As One a new special treat after his recent release on Cadenza.

After a long wait “Foolish Games” is finally here, a classy piece of vocal techno that features the dreamy voice of French artist Möggli, a long journey into deep and detroit techno landscapes, and a true masterpiece in Shlomi’s career.

“Lines In The Sand”, on the flip-side, is a smartly produced slice of uplifting, classic sounding techno house, that will surely win the likings of many DJs across genres, with a warm deep melody and old school machine drums, influenced by the early days, is set to be the kind of tracks to light up the night.

    Release/catalogue number: BAO038
    Release date: Dec 10, 2012

    05. Inxec & Mark Chambers - Skoolin Anthea [Vicario Musique | VMR004]

Cutting a two metre shadow, with blue eyes and red hair - its not hard to miss the sky scraping figure of Inxec. And there is no stop button in sight Mark Chambers has always found sanctuary in the corners of his mind, for in the corners he finds the true nature and true creative being of himself. These two artists created a simple-yet duo of dark tunes for us.

Aesthetically black and beautiful music, Skoolin Anthea was inspired actually in their friend Anthea from Phonica Records. They were at the studio when the track was made, ''And she was chilling'', Mark Chambers said.

Elegantly simple & clean, ''Finding'' is a B-side deep & dark infectious groove you'll appreciate after the first listen.

Our friend Clovis (Culprit) from L.A. crafted a full of dark percussion dub of the A-SIDE: Skoolin Anthea by Inxec & Mark Chambers

Amine Edge & DANCE aren't a new name. With releases and remixes on 2diy4, Exploited, Rekids, Noir, Nervous, etc. These french guys, smashed the black and deep Skoolin Anthea by Inxec & Mark Chambers, giving a G-house twist peak time for the dance-floor.

    Release Date: 10/12/12

    06. Re.You - Closer feat. Vonda 7 (Amine Edge & Dance Remix) [Souvenir Music | SOUVENIR 051]

We’re still recovering from our big FIVE OH milestone, but the music never stops and this time we have something new from Souvenir wunderkind Re.You.

It’s been a pretty wild year for Marius Maier AKA Re.You, his live with Rampa debuting at Fabric at our label take over, plus dropping a massive 12” on Gigolo, plus solo releases on Avotre, Mobilee and of course his home away from home, Souvenir. This time round he brings the funk on ‘Insanity’ with a trademark, treated vocal serving from LIA. The track brings it real close, close enough for breath to from little droplets of condensation against a cold window. A niggling percussive interplay sends the track reeling all over the dance-floor, various creaks and whistles playing off each other until a solid bass-line swoops in meaning business. What’s known in the industry as a straight weapon! ‘Lonely’ follows with a more frantic tempo, a small drum pattern loops, throwing you with its slightly skewed beat. Some techy snares build the tension while some off key chords supply the haunted melody.

On the flip Re.You brings it down a notch, going straight deep house. Again, his masterful use of ethereal vocal samples build both mood and drive the beat. An unintelligible phrase phasing out of sync until what seems like a percussive denouement, the bass-line returning with gusto for a serious second round. ‘Closer’ gets a much more upbeat rework from Southern French producers Amine Edge & DANCE. They keep the vocal sample as a skeleton, but build up the track in much bubblier fashion, a playful synth line ear worms while a chunky, dance-floor friendly bass-line punctuates the whole thing.

    07. Habischman ft Cari Golden - Diabolic (Martin Dawson Instrumental Remix) [Noir Music | NMB042]

    Supported by:

Sascha, DJ T, Deetron, Gorge, Reboot, Dubfire, Mihali Safras, Layo & Bushwacka, Trickski, Graeme Park, Mano Le Tough, Huxley, Dyed Soundorom, NiCe7, Martin Eyerer, Clio, Supernova, Coyu, Flashmob, Nicolas Masseyefff, Saeed Younan, MANIK, Lee Curtiss + more.

We have been sitting on this 2-tracker for quite some time and are now finally ready to unleash these bad boys with the right remixes to follow.
Habischman serves up not 1 but 2 fantastic vocal tracks which easily fall into the category of a double a-side. Vocal work and song writings have been done by the talented Cari Golden and Louisahhh best know from labels like Crosstown Rebels, Hot Creations, Mobilee and Suruba.

    And not only that......

The Diabolic track has been remixed by none other than Martin Dawson, Douglas Greed and Ramiro Lopez - so we pretty much got something to suit any underground house/techno floor. Hit play and pick a favourite if you can.

    Released by: Noir Music
    Release/catalogue number: NMB042
    Release date: Nov 5, 2012

    [sad footnote]

On Monday, November 12th, producer and DJ Martin Dawson was sadly taken away from us, due to medical complications following a brain aneurysm suffered several days before.

As our way of paying tribute to a very talented man, we (Noir, Habischman and Cari Golden) decided to give away the brand new remixes of "diabolic" that Martin did for Noir Music. For us it feels wrong to be selling the remixes, so here's your chance to get them for free.

ALL WE ASK IS.......... When you listen to the music..... Please send some positive and loving thoughts to Martin Dawson in heaven, to his family and friends. We are gonna miss your spirit and music. R.I.P.

    08. Basti Grub - Big Top (Asante Sana EP) [Desolat | DESOLAT029]

After two releases on Desolat X, Mannheim based producer Basti Grub steps up with a sublime 4 track EP on Desolat. Having garnered the support of the likes of Sven Väth, Villalobos, Luciano and Matthew Dear, Basti Grub's productions ooze a life-long affinity with electronic music. Following the well received 'Primavera' album on his label Höhenregler, Grub's first EP for Desolat exemplifies his homogenous mixture of grooving techno, swing-sounds, ethnological influences and his typical 'Grube-estique' drums. And we dare to say that 'Asante Sana' is the best Basti Grub ever. Enjoy!

A little correction of what Diggers says at the beginning of the guest mix - Stefan Goldmann lives and produces in Germany, but he is 100% Bulgarian =) probably that's why his set features 2 tracks by another great bulgarian producer - Strahil Velchev a.k.a KiNK haha
no,seriously i really hope to hear some day in the near future a Transitions guest mix by KiNK :

Lots of great music on show ... at one point I did have to check the clock on Luciano given there were still 7 tracks left and only 40 mins !

Systematic and Be As One track work well either side of the break.

Highlight is the Martin Dawson track(s)* ... such a shame he's gone.
