That`s quite an old version. This is more like the one we had

There`s always one thing that sticks out for me back in my BMX days, them fucking platform pedals and the little bits of metal that stuck out to give you more grip... if you didn`t get ya foot back on in time after a trick you knew you`re shin was in for some severe pain.

Indeed, if i remeber rightly, weren`t they made up from more than one piece of metal and were very flimsy?

lol, me too, what about those other ones, Shimano i think they were, with the little pins, and when your foot slipped off the pedal they would whip round and thwack into your shin, ewwwwwwwww

the all time shin bleeders in my opinion WERE the Hutch Beartraps!!! Ouch!!! Those pedals would dig so far into your shin bones, ahh just great they were.

                        Re: BMX in the days..

I did have a BMX at some point, never did any real tricks with it (too bad, no BMX culture around, nobody to teach me).

And this one frickin time I made a wheelie my crap front wheel just plain fell outta my crapshit fork...maaaannn, talk about crashlanding face first no hands, I could hear and feel my teeth dangling afterwards.

                            Re: BMX in the days..

Does anyone remeber the rims that you could bend? Fack i forget the name now, they came with a gaurentee that if you broke them they`d replace them no qusetions asked. Well, when i got to the age where BMXing took a back seat i gave my bike to my brother, a few years later he bought some of them rims and i had a go in my parents back yard. All i did was a little endo.. slapped the back wheel down to see if i could bend it and.....

Snap ooops, i was far to big to be riding.

He never did get a replacement.
