Dilate Records was founded by emerging producer Evans to showcase his own music as well as sounds from emerging, and more established, artists in the scene. The focus is on quality underground sounds, the deeper edge of house music all shaped by the boss himself. It all kicks off with an EP from the Evans alongside regular production partner Waterfall entitled 00.1 with remixes by Droog and Adam Shelton.
Evans & Waterfall both hail from Sheffield and have been emerged in the house scene for years, first as fans at the legendary BED, then as DJs and promoters until in 2008they first started producing together. To date they have honed their own brand of deep house and tech on labels like ViVA, Save Room and more, with plenty of chart topping positions and great DJ support all under their belt.
The track is slow, deep and spacey with a big strong bassline and amazing vocal. Remixes coming from good friends Droog (Culprit) & Adam Shelton (One Records).Droog famous for there (Culprit)rooftop parties in downtown L.A. bring a more laid back and slow driven approach. Upcoming in the months ahead is release ‘00.2’ with Special Case and Lula Circus remixes due February, a third EP in April with Death on the Balcony and wAFF remixes as well as determined efforts to increase the reach and fan base of the label.
