Outdoor pics, we went North.

You begin to see the change in the landscape as it gets rockier and snowy:










Our first stop was a green house:








That grew, of all things, tomatoes:

The landscape is dotted with these lone-standing houses far from anyone or anything. Makes me wonder what they do out there.




Next up, we went walked the fault line that Iceland is on: Iceland straddles North America and Europe. For Game of Thrones fans, this is the Wall!






You can see a house in the distance. Seriously what do they do out there? Post on forums and listen to Soundcloud?

Wow man, simply incredible. Photos loaded fine on my phone illiuminate.... I love how music sounds in remote open mountainous regions like this, bet it was magical and changed you a little. Love all the laughing smilies, that's how I feel after a vacation somewhere new as well, like a child almost. Thanks for sharing these and taking the time to.

Looks like another planet in some of the landscape pics...the are and culture side looks unique.

People seem ok given its economy virtually collapsed

What about general expenses in ISL? Expensive to do stuff their or can it be done on a shoestring?

I expected it to be more expensive but I'd say dining is similar to Sydney or New York.
