    Seven Psychopaths

    Did anyone catch this?

Sam Rockwell, Walken, Harrelson were great. But I found the entire movie a bit convoluted and lack pace. TBH I'm not even sure what happened in the movie. It seemed like one of those 'screenwriter trying to write his screenplay and the story crosses into real life' premise.

I got pics and video. But I will upload them in the morning. I need to smoke this nice phat joint and just close my eyes and replay the amazingness in my head.

It's a "meta" movie - kind of like Adaptation - it's a crime film that knows it's a crime film, and while decrying the clichés, it's also embracing them in a parody kind of way (hence the constant cut aways to how the unfinished screenplay should go). Did you ever see Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang w/ Robert Downey Jr. and Val Kilmer? It makes for a great companion piece (as does Spike Jones' Adaptation)

The Vietnamese revenge story with Chris Walken's angle was amazing - really made the movie for me.

Yeah I thought that's what it was going for but my feeble brain found it hard to thread everything together

The ad campaign didn't really do this film any favors, they're marketing it like a Tarantino like movie, when it's a much different film.

          Adaptation > this thing

it's too bad, that's a big time cast.

It was fun while it lasted...
