the set is simply OK imo. i felt the first 1:30ish minutes were forced by the time of night. this led to banging out the hard tracks and then finally into a grove later on. while you can't fault him b/c of where he played in the lineup, it makes listening to it meh. i suspect if you were there it might be novel, but listening to it without any knowledge of context might reduce the listeners experience. the wait was not worth it IMO and i suspect my excitement prior to hearing it also pumped it up to something that it is not, again no fault to the legend.Comment
