The dreaded DJ "No Show" returns

Travelled all the way to London at the weekend with the hope of seeing BT's UK return at Turnmills (The Gallery).

While I had reservations (i.e. his music has taken a turn for the worse over the past few years ... and the last [ms] report said that he turned up in a white suite, spilt champagne over the mixer and had to re-start his set after his laptop crashed) ... but I'd gone as a trade off with my brother for Sasha at Fabric next month.

Anyway we arrived at Turnmills only to find that he'd cancelled at 9.00 pm. (the old "unforeseen circumstances" excuses trotted out by many). Having already taken the day off work, travelled 4-hours and shelled out ?100+ each for trains, hotels, taxi's, food & booze - I was mighty pissed off.
Still, at least Nick Warren was on (first 2-hours good - second 2 hours very hit & miss).

While it won't stop me travelling, it does leave a very bad taste and the lame excuses are becoming tiresome. These people get paid a bloody good fee and only have to turn up to a couple of clubs a week on average.

Anyway, I'll be returning to see Hernan at Turnmills on 8th May (at least he's based in the London for part of the year and is a true dedicated pro) - plus Paul Oakenfold is on too (you can say what you like about the Joke-meister, his silly haircut and contract riders - at least the guy always turns up).

    ... I just hope Sasha's finished Involver 2 by May 21st.

you were destined for disaster this night anyway.
your first mistake was deciding on going to a BT show.

All in all, it still sucks you made the trip and spent all that money. Hopefully your next venture will be a good one as well as a night to remember.

You always live in hope that someone will play an inspirational set - I waited for 4-hours at Air for Diggers to play a truly memorable prog tune (a la 1999 - early 2004) ... and I'm still waiting !

The dj?s show no respect for their fans. Many of th fans are travelling around the world to see them and then they dont show up. That?s lame.

Jimmy Van M is horrible at showing, too. He's cancelled two out of his past three shows here in KC

BT is a dj? Where the hell have I been, I though he locked himself in his room to master all those tools....

I don't see why you weren't on you way to see Nick instead of the extreme sellout cheese ball nutbag BT. You should thank your lucky stars BT didn't show up.

Doesn't BT stand for "Boring and Tedious?"

                            I thought so.
                            Peace.
