Today the much anticipated HTC One, the latest smartphone from the HTC family was unveiled. The new flagship Android phone from the brand now comes in a premium machined aluminum unibody shell, aligning it close to its main competition – the iPhone 5.
The new HTC One sports a 4.7-inch 1080p Super LCD 3 display and is among the first to feature the Qualcomm’s quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor. Only weighing 143 grams and measuring 5.4 (137.4mm) x 2.7 (68.2mm) x 0.37 (9.3mm) inches, the phone is exactly as thick as the brand new Blackberry Z10. Also included in the phone are a 2,300mAh Li-polymer battery, radios for WiFi a/ac/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and 32GB or 64GB of storage. Highlight features are the dual stereo speakers and the new “UltraPixel” back camera, featuring a 4 megapixel chip.
The new HTC One is definitely at the very top of its class, now one has to see how consumer adoption is and how it performs compared to its competitors. Look out for the official release of the phone globally in early March 2013.
