Blocked Internet Sites

My current employer has a program that will block access to the internet after one hours use. It's a great little program, but it fails to work on MS.

Any guesses why i can browse MS but not Bedrock or any other sites. I was thinking maybe cos all MS pages end with .php.

Suggestions??

even bedrock is a php page cause they are running phpbb

odd that it wont stop MS.... maybe your boss is a lurker on here too and has unblocked MS

Cant be a client program... As all blocking happens (and SHOULD happen) at the proxy level.

If any IC/sys Admin is using client proxy, hes a moron and doesnt know what the fuck hes doing.

if it is a packet shaper or packeteer it is a pos, go get some lighter fluid, spray it on the box and then light a match and enjoy some marshmallows.

Thanks for all the ideas. I work on a helpdesk at the mo, so sometimes it's quiet , sometimes flat out .
