Lavelle's GU Barcelona is fantastic, some great variety on it too. Highly recommended.
Check out his JJJ mix from 2002.

This release was mastered direct from vinyl at the request of the DJ and as such features natural sound characteristics of this medium such as record surface noise.

what is all the lavelle bashing for, the mix is good and his sc says they both mixed it so what is the mystery here??
Don't take the negative, it's not bashing, just general discussion. Believe me he is given full credit for his strengths. The mix is great. !! Just as I don't think James couldn't have produced this without Charlie, I also don't think Charlie couldn't have produced it without James. It's just an incredibly good collaboration. !!

Agreed... JL is a musical genius but when it comes to DJing... not so much. Seems like he tries to cater to big clubs, breakbeats, etc.. and it just isnt his M-O... liked his early Breezeblock sets, very eclectic and good.
and TBH, I didnt really care for any of his GU's either.. his UNKLE mixes though are phenomenal.
I still have yet to give this one a whirl... been addicted to a few Hidden Orchestra mixes lately.
