Cant change email addy?

So i finally switched from that dreadful hotmail, so naturally i want to change my adress here to. First when i tried to change it i was told something like "invalid adress" then when i tried again im told "Sorry, but that e-mail address is already registered to a user." Somehow i believe that the adress that belong to an registered user is my old adress... it seems like it wont allow me to change at all because after pressing submit my old adress is back.

So if anyone understands anything of what i am trying to say here.. pls help!

If you try to change your Email adress in your profile you need to update your password as well at the same time to update your profile successfully. You can change your password again back to what you had after the Email adress was changed though.

I think i need to straighten up!

Even when i change password it still says the adress is registred.. who knows i might have pulled something under the influence so to speak. Ah well, ill just have to live with it i guess.
