01. Aqob - All Moving Over The Earth (J. Daniel Remix) [Question of Time | QOT7]
Question of Time favourite, Aqob returns with a remix package of his track ‘All Moving Over the Earth’ featuring remixes from Clive Henry & Rui Da Silva, J Daniel and AKB.
Anglo-Portuguese label Question of Time have been releasing some outstanding music over the past year, picking up support from DJs such as Dubfire, DJ Sneak, Laurent Garnier and MatthewB.
Now the imprint returns to one of its favourite artists, the illusive and talented Aqob for the next release, taking his excellent ‘All Moving Over the Earth’ and getting it remixed by the great and the good.
The package kicks off with a remix from d1sCHØRDs AKA Clive Henry and Rui Da Silva who deliver a stripped and spacious tech fuelled house version that marries understated melodies with a solid and hypnotic rhythm section to superb effect. The second remix comes from Question of Time founder J Daniel who takes ‘All Moving Over the Earth’ and reworks it into a unique slice of electronic music that draws in elements and House, Techno and Ambient. Swirling FX and emotive piano chords play up against the off kilter drum programming and percussion to produce a truly original sounding record. Finally AKB turns in a short but sweet three minute mix of deep, dubby electronica that lets’ the heavily effected vocals shine, quality stuff.
This is a gem from Question of Time with a remix package that offers genuine variety from some talented producers, enjoy.

02. Adeline - Under The Moon (Thugfucker featuring Greg Paulus Remix) [Culprit LA | CP033]
Based in L.A but welcoming other dream chasers from across the pond into their Hollywood home, for their 33rd ep release Culprit proudly bring you newest gang member, Adeline. Hailing from Sweden but now based in London, the move has seen her craft her talent and mould her style, inspired by the creative hub of the UK’s capital city. No stranger to the music world, Adeline helped launch Soundcloud (love or hate it, it’s certainly made an impact) presented Scandinavian radio show P3 Dans and is one half of DJ outfit Housewives. Now as she turns her attention to production, it’s exciting to see where she will go next.
First track What You Got features soft vocals from herself, whispering throughout and flirting with you whilst the track builds and falls slowly with the help of a hi-hat heavy drum kit and tension building bass-line.
Under The Moon goes deeper as we go further into the EP, with the pitched down vocals matching the change in style. The vocals glide you through smoothly, dodging the bass-line hook and dreamy woodblock tones. Again the song rises and falls gently, but elegantly so making you bubble with quiet excitement.
Thugfucker and Greg Paulus of No Regular Play provide an excellent remix that’s sure to stand out. Turning it from quite a stripped back beat to a melodic masterpiece, taking you from the original dream like tune to a full blown fantasy using ghost like tones punctuated with a far away trumpet.
Finally, we reach ‘Unravel My Mind’ she goes from dream land to dance floor mode. The bass-line gets creepier and the synths are more intense, perfect for those 5am moments when things start to get serious.
All in all its good to see the first female member of the Culprit Crew rise to the challenge, bringing feminine charm but ensuring she’s not to be messed with.
After watching the adventures of the Cali Bear unfold on the recent releases of Culprit music videos (Shall Ocin – Crash Into My Love), it will be interesting to see if the cheeky chap will end up dancing the night away with Adeline in the next instalment of his video escapades most likely to be recorded at the releases launch party at Dukes House, London.

04. Luciano - Dance Unity [Cadenza Music | CADENZA84]
Luciano breezes into Cadenza Music’s 10th anniversary year with a new single, ‘Cachai’/’Dance Unity’, released on February 25th.
Whereas previous single ‘Rise Of Angel’ came from the heart, this brace of new music comes strictly from the mind; heady, experimental dancefloor tracks with an air of futurism to them that sets the scene for Luciano’s next album, due this year, quite nicely.
‘Cachai’ fuses a bouncing, morning groove with stabbing operatic vocals and searing strings, light organ keys keeping the backbone of this decidedly trippy and minimal production, Luciano taking things back to the basics.
‘Dance Unity’ keeps things in the similar vein, raw and minimal electronic drums, furry snares and an attention to the finer details, with hallucinatory blips, bleeps and haunting keys weaving their magic over the tracks 15 minute tenure. Luciano provides the call to the dancefloor, with ‘Dance Unity’s’ lyric, and a fitting message in light of Cadenza’s 10 year achievements.

05. Italoboyz Vs Blind Minded - Unquenchable Woman (Episode #3 EP) [Superfiction Recordings | SFICT003]
Up and coming on March 25th our own Episode #3 by Italoboyz Vs Blind Minded, featuring 2 super sexy and deep remixes by Martinez.
Superfiction Recordings is the new record label and music collective established by Italoboyz’ Marco Donato and Federico Marton alongside with Giorgio Cadamuro.
Since their well-received 2007 release ‘Viktor Casanova’ on Mothership, that unexpectedly became an immediate global crossover hit (hammered out by pretty much every DJ on the globe), Italoboyz have been exporting their eclectic sounds via label greats such as Get Physical, Moon Harbour and Trapez. Craving the total creative freedom and sense of musical continuity that only a self-grown label can bring, the duo have decided to take things to the next level – namely, Superfiction.
Reflecting an Italoboyz’ vision of where modern electronic music is, or could be, releases on the label will be influenced by every possible music via their own view and perspective of Techno, House, Breaks, Electronica, Chill Out and “Funk… lots of Funk… Disco-y. Very jacking, sometimes trippy”. Superfiction will represent their main source of musical output, as well as becoming a showcase for their coolest tracks, collaborations and new artists.
With this label there is a strong emphasis placed on longevity - Superfiction is not about trends. The label’s releases will be influenced by the tastes and personal acknowledgment of the Italoboyz and their musical backgrounds; their adventures in record collecting over 20-plus years and their uniquely individual style, whilst simultaneously leaving the door open to new artists and ideas. As Marco succinctly puts it "We don't have any preconceptions, we are open to many styles of music - as long as we believe is quality." This honest openness combined with a strong sense of identity means their releases will certainly reflect what their approach to electronic music is.
Superfiction, far from being purely a means to releasing music without compromise or external limitations, is also a concept in its own right. As a platform, Superfiction is set to become a musical community for fellow DJs, musician friends and producers; facilitating collaborations and incubating new projects in an atmosphere of pure creativity, without the rigidity of pre-determined concepts and corporate agendas. Superfiction will also be expanding into club nights, where Fede and Marco will invite their label artists to perform, alongside friends and people who appreciate the meaning of a good party.
Superfiction is a concept that subconsciously started over 20 years ago and, as it’s aged, aims to stay eternal and timeless.

Now he creates a fierce and low pumping mix that sways in gracious rhythm with classic hi-hat and perc patterns.
