    Rquest for the old guard

hey guys, have been recovering songs and wanted to ask the older population of MS - or anyone that has knowledge of this:
I'm looking for any songs that capture the same vibe as the below ones; for me, the way I remember them are stories like coming out from some of the first Layo parties at The end in 97-98ie and heading out to Camden Palace
The 8h30am fish & chip stand in front of Fabric after a 6 hour peace division mind numbing set

Not necessarily that they were played at that time but tunes that capture the filth and the spirit of "I'm done for 3,4 billion hours yet"... if this makes sense

    The kind of
Peace Division - Club Therapy - YouTube
Foremost Poets - Moon Raker ( Original ) - YouTube
Billy Dalessandro - In The Dark - YouTube
This Is Sick - Solid Groove - YouTube
Trancesetters - Roaches (Peace Divison Remix) 1999 - YouTube

    Thanks guys

I think this mix seems to sum this up:

they actually broke up a bit after eh oh um, in 2009 I think. Saw Clive Henry in 2009 in DC was a quite good show much more into minimal than expected, I think he did a few things with circo loco. no idea what he did since. Justin Drake "recently" in 2011did Tsuba Lovesh which didn't have much for itself, nothing since I think

It's a pity, weren't they freaking great at the time...
that peace division Take Me (i'm Yours (ceramic Mix) was a pretty good of one them

They had an opening track on Transitions (Episode 436) at the start of the year, with a Remastered version of this:

                01. Peace Division feat. Pleasant Gehman - Blacklight Sleaze (Remasterd) [Dogmatik Records | DOG1201]

London's Dogmatik label goes from strength to strength and after the success of the Dusky FloJam EP, they deliver yet again with Peace Divisions mighty Blacklight Sleaze. Opening with the dirty and sexy remix by Dyed Soundorom, this ones for the true house playas who want their tracks bassline driven ,sexy and full of tension. On the flip we got man of the moment Gerd spicing things up and preparing his Acid Sleaze mix ready for the sleaziest darkrooms. His Tough Sleaze mix is going straight for the main floor with a heavy pulsating bass setting the tone with hypnotic vocals on top in a classic and timeless Chicago house way. The digital release also includes a bonus remix from label boss/producer/DJ, Alex Arnout.

                Released by: Dogmatik Records
                Release/catalogue number: Dog1201
                Release date: Nov 14, 2012

                [RA Review]

The last time I felt this prematurely unsure about a remix package Martin Landsky put me firmly in my place with his modern, tech-funk take on the John Tejada classic "Sweat." And so I approach with tentative ears here, as Dyed Soundorom and Gerd tackle "Blacklight Sleaze," Peace Division's gnarly ode to the stripping underworld. For those unfamiliar with the original, American writer Pleasant Gehman's monologue on the leery, everyday truths of life as an exotic dancer played out over a simple bed of brooding synths, penetrative kicks and freakish bleeps. Rarely in dance music was the union of music and vox so symbiotic.

Dyed Soundorom immediately lightens the load, replacing the Peace Division thump with something a little looser and more airy. Leaving the vocal untouched, he envelops it in his own subtly seedy film, letting his textbook rolling bass do its thing beneath freshly devised eerie chimes. It's a smart, considered attempt. Gerd's "Acid Sleaze" interpretation is similarly attentive, placing a strong emphasis on the power of the uninterrupted groove, this time draped in a robotic sea of 303s. His "Tough Sleaze" mix, however, is the most creative of the bunch, dehumanising the vocal to add an edge of unease, accentuated in turn by the abrasive mound of jagged synths and merciless drums. Better than the original? Not quite. But each offers a new perspective on a well-worn classic, rounding off a strong 12 months for Alex Arnout's Dogmatik imprint.

This release was mastered direct from vinyl at the request of the DJ and as such features natural sound characteristics of this medium such as record surface noise.
