Only your can of Red Bull is made of Alluminum and completely hollow, put some steel rod's inside it and you're back where you started.

Maybe you should get your meccarno set out build a 10 x 10 structure bolted together and add some cross frames and strengthening brackets and take a blow touch to it LOL

And your can of Red Bull won't fall into its foot print either.

no i,m not but the point is that is stainless steel which is harder than normal steel and to twist it between them they are putting well below a quarter of a ton in pressure between them... its quite a thick piece as well

my point was that just how pliable steel becomes when it gets heated and the weight it is bearing is the pressure... of course it would buckle.... oh and i just know ur gonna come back with well buildings of a similar nature have burned and not fallen... probably because those buildings were made recently with higher grade steel

you're missing the point... its a solid structure that has had its structure rigidity compromised at the side

Actually the building in the Madrid fire was built in 1976, burned for 2 days, no hint of a wibbly wobbly

I find the red bull can analogy absurd, the only way you can squeeze a can in such a way is with your thumb AND finger ie, you are applying pressure from both sides simultaneously. As you say the building was damaged at one side, though i'd dispute the structure of the building was damaged at all. For the tin can theory to hold water you'd have to "squeeze" it with the end of one finger from one side, and not simultaneously use your thumb. Try that.

Ok lets do your tin pot experiment. You get yourself a Heinz Beans can, empty it, put a dent in one side, then using ur thumbs at the bottom and index finger at the top and try to squash it. Upload it on youtube and post it here in the next 12 hours and I will donate £50 through the MS donate tab. If however you cant you should agree to pack up your shit and go away, not just to day forever. LOL

my thumb and fingers can't make thousands of tons of pressure created by tons and tons of steel and concrete... you obviously missed the point

this is my point exactly... and when u damage the can on one side the can when squeezed falls in on itself from the top... honestly try it

If the top and bottom of the tin come together in uniform fashion, ie without mis-shaping to one side, then i'll back the above with £100

The word squeeze, by definition, means simultaneous pressure from more than one side. If you can uniformly squash your tin with one finger then i'll accept your theory
