There are always one or two tracks from Hernan's sets that really touch me and I need to obsessively listen over and over for at least a week. This time the award goes to: The Confusion and dj Emil - No Problem (Dandy & Gregory S)

                            01. MNR - City Of Shadows (Spectral Visions LP) [Sangria | SNG008]

This is an album made for listeners; those who appreciate a journey, and treasure the experiences gathered along the way. It tells a story written in deep, rhythmic and progressive electronic soundscapes, never lingering to long in any one space, always drawing the listener further into a world outside of their own. It offers a brief, calm escape for those who desire music of substance, created out of nothing more (or less) than love and respect for sound.

3rd release on the label will be out 12th February. We hope you all enjoy another release from Mineral. Support from: Sasha. Hernan Cattaneo, Tini Tun, Thomas Smith, CP, Darren Flecta, Ryan Luciano, Yamil Colucci, Checkor.....

                            Release date: Feb 12, 2013

                            03. Frankey & Sandrino - We Are All Dust [Moodmusic | MOOD128]

Behind this moniker hides two well known producers, Frank Beckers from D-nox & Beckers and Sandrino Tittel from Lemonpopsicle and White Rabbit fame. Coming together in the studio was no coincidence as the guys have known each other since years in the Ruhrpott area in the heard of industrial Germany.

We Are All Dust is surely their finest moment so far - starting deep and teasing this is one of those tunes which gives you shivers even if you spent the last 30 years on the North Pole or some far located desert. Big smiles on the floor are granted as the emotional theme drops and the track builds and builds.

For remixers our good friends Marcus Worgull from Innervisions and Raxon from Audiotonic delivers their own vision of We Are All Dust. Marcus re-edits the original parts into a even more teasing version, keeping much of the original flow but dropping midway to a great break where hands are surely to go up.

Dubai's brightest, Mr Raxon from Audiotonic and 360 fame takes another route, dropping a massive baseline and dubbing out the parts to one his trademark floor burners.a To end the EP in fine mode, Frankey & Sandrino offer you Echoes, a perfect slice of piano driven, percussive dub house disco which perfectly shows the craftsmanship these gentleman offer.

                            04. The Confusion & DJ Emil - No Problem (Dandy & Gregory S Remix) [Dextrous Records | Promo]

Dandy (aka Peter Makto from Budapest, Hungary) and Gregory S follow up their Dancefloor EP [Kiko Records | KIK052] with a remix.

                            05. Vinayak^A - You May Sit And Wonder [Dopamine Music | DPM003]

Nikko Z's Dopamine Music returns after two stellar releases to close out 2012 with their first release of 2013. Indian producer Vinayak A has long been one of his country's most recognisable artists and over the course of 2012 he really staked his claim as one of the genre's most unique and exciting producers. At year's end he had a string of amazing releases on Sound Avenue, Mesmeric, Festival Lounge and Proton's highly influential Compiled and Mixed Series.

After a brilliant remix on Andrew K's Vise Versa Music to begin the year Nikko Z and Dopamine Music are pleased to present Vinayak A's first single of 2013 entitled 'You May Sit and Wonder' which comes with remixes from Luke Porter, Rich Curtis and Rikesto.

Vinayak A's original begins with a rich atmospheric intro that's full of washed out bells, eerie vocal pads and most of all a captivating vibe that draws the listener in and builds anticipation as a result. When the kick drops a wicked vocal hook and phasing hypnotic elements form around the groove for a warm surge of momentum. The hazy bells from the intro soon return along with additional vocal accents that lead the track into the main breakdown. The drop presents a big build with a tension filled rise complete with a warped and brilliantly designed climax that reveals the warm, pulsating groove once more. The track concludes with Vinayak A's deeply entrenching atmospherics and driving techy rhythms which should be an absolute smash on the dance floor.

The first remix is provided by Luke Porter who is making his debut appearance on Dopamine Music. The Australian (but currently UK based) producer continued dropping elite level productions in 2012 with releases on Eelke Kleijn's Outside The Box Music, Baires Records and Lowbit. Luke's gig schedule for the year was highlighted with an appearance at Fire, London for Bedrock's Anniversary's party which went down as one of the clubs most successful nights of the year. For his 'You May Sit and Wonder' interpretation Luke has crafted another peak time construction that has Hernan Cattaneo written all over it. In taking the amazing elements from Vinayak A's original and putting an even more hazy, poignant spin on them Luke has delivered an emotionally charged progressive techno bomb that goes down as one of this best productions to date.

The second remix comes from another Australian producer Rich Curtis who also enjoyed immense success in 2012. Rich Curtis closed out the year with one of his biggest releases to date in the form of "Lower Your Voice' on the newly formed sister label of 99percent called RELEASE. The Oliver Lieb remix received festival play from Sasha and the Pig and Dan remix enjoyed an extended stay in the Beatport Techno chart. Add to that an appearance on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat label earlier in the year and by all accounts Rich would have to be considered amongst the genres elite producers. as 2013 begins. Rich's 'You May Sit and Wonder' interpretation proves to be a great complement to the package as it comes with his exceptionally unique brand of progressive tech house. Filled with quirky hooks, a cavernous low end and spacious pads the piece rumbles towards the main break. Here a sequence of smooth chord changes and flickering atmospherics create the perfect harmonious interlude which sets the stage for an epic conclusion.

The final remix on the package comes from Rikesto who is also making his Dopamine debut here. Ricardo Espinel aka Rikesto hails from Columbia and he first came to our attention when he was announced as one of the finalists in Bedrock's Guy J 'Azimuth' Remix contest. His discography now includes appearances on Baires, Balkan Connection, Aegyptia and Iboga. His 'You May Sit and Wonder' interpretation is his first new production of 2013 and he's gotten the year off to a great start. Rikesto has delivered a progressive techno rocker that's filled with ample amounts of peak time atmosphere. The chugging groove, driving drums and spacey electronics lay down the perfect framework as the track reaches its heart. The emotional peak of the record comes as a smooth sequence of soft melodic keys adds a wonderfully serene vibe which softens the relentless groove just a touch and should provide some sizeable dance floor magic as a result.

                            06. Blusoul - Voyager (Li-Polymer Remix) [Lowbit Records | LBR111]

Swedish Lowbit Records is once again back on track with a brand new release, this time from Greece’s up-and-coming producer Blusoul that joins the Lowbit ranks with his brilliant deep melodic ‘”Voyager” release.

You will also have the full package with wicked interpretations from three acts, Colorblock (Lank, Forteba & DJ Stone), Li-Polymer and Monster of Density that all delivers interesting productions that we feel should fit all of you building sets in the clubs, but also for the home listener, this is damn good music!

                            07. Kaan Koray - Burst Of Emotion [Soundteller Records | STR005]

Istanbul's Kaan Koray - Burst Of Emotion EP soon on Soundteller Records !
Including Remixes; Josel, Kastis Torrau, MUUI and Danny Lloyd remixes !

Based in Ireland and Poland, Soundteller Records is an record label committed to releasing quality underground electronic music from all over the world. With support from Hernán, added to music from Matias Chilano and Mike Griego, and remixes on the way from the likes of Andy Arias there is strong South American connection.

                            08. Mononoid - Two Terms (Parallel To The Radius EP) [Traum Schallplatten | Traum V159]

Mononoid are back with their third EP for Traum.

Starting with "Parallel To The Radius" this track can be described as the deepest ands sweetest one of their brand new 4-track EP. The track unites ancient ideas of melodies from the late sixties with ideas we come across in techno and chill out music today.

The track is more than a wonderful blend, it really defies genres in a big way and avoids clichés. If we were to compare the feeling of it and just the feeling not the production or the sound generating synth we would say it contains the sadness and the elfin like character of White Noise’s music on their first album "An Electric Storm".

Whoever has followed our music for the last 15 years will notice that this comparison pops up here and then, since this album from 1969 is one of our favourites way back from the 90ies when we discovered it.

Mononoid more than 40 years later have managed to capture that kind of psychedelica in their music. Sure not intentionally, but improvisation and likings for the grotesque and obscure the duo is known for must have lead to a similar feeling. Exceptionally brilliant we think.

"Two Terms" begins rather in contrast to "Parallel To The Radius" machine like and without a proper introduction. Step by step the track mutations to a "song" with an experimental edge. Wailing sounds, noise, feedbacks… drum rolls with an acoustic character, reverse sounds... -the facet of Mononoid is sheer unlimited not unlike some passages in "Parallel To The Radius".

"Grom Morg" is much less warped and psychedelic as the first two tracks... this one is right on (at least in the beginning)... an acid track with a lot of disco feeling when the arpeggiator gets it going. A light hearted track with nice transcendental passages towards the end. Hypnotic and a steady groover.

"FuseBox" might be the most light-hearted one in the pack. This track kicks off with a jolly bongo playing and a massive bassline which drops in converting the track into a hybrid of techno and post trance. Maybe there is a bit of a Perry & Rhodan in it, granted. This track is a repetitive techno one digging deep without a pause, relentless and uncompromising.

Zonderling who have remixed "Protoplasm" for Mononoid on their debut EP Traum V150 definitely have again made things worth while with their remix of "Two Terms". Zonderling pull rabbits out of hats as if it were nothing. Their remix really pulls down knee sox. Focusing on the intensity of the drums, construction and reduction, manipulation and deconstruction of sounds, not forgetting the break down... this completes the package nicely with what we would call simply a devastating mammoth techno stormer!

Logiztik Sounds is a new face appearing on Traum who has taken on the flag ship of this release, "Parallel To The Radius" for his interpretation. He’s gracefully pulled it onto an exciting uncharted territory full of picturesque and colourful melodies. His remix is a tripped out journey down the path of melodic progressions, riding perfectly on a bed of punchy, attitude filled beats.
