            Release Notes:

            01. Silinder - Pavement (Paul Hazendonk & Noraj Cue Remix) [Proton Music | PROTON0215]

Silinder's Corrupt EP, was one of the conceptual highlights of 2012. Using an impressive skill set founded in Proton remixes of Alexey Sonar and Lank, Gavin Mulhall's ability to conjure up the abstract emotions of cynicism and despair was an impressive achievement. Highlighting the economic plight of his Irish homeland through twin tracks, the second of these now takes deserved centre stage courtesy of remixes from Canada and Holland on Silinder's Pavement.

Toronto resident, Biologik, has few equals in range and influence over the alternative EDM scene in recent years. As one of the prime movers in the formation of the Proton Radio concept, his vision and innovative production work have graced a plethora of labels. A penchant for "lush pads and thick crunchy beats" has led to a forward-thinking production process combining modern computer based equipment and outboard studio gear, to produce a distinct and recognisable sound. A natural transition to the live arena has seen Biologik perform a number of public appearance performances and a recent trip to Dublin in May 2013 has seen him further extend his global popularity. The full-length album "One Month" for Proton Music, and unforgettable releases for Mesmeric and OLD SQL have opened Biologik's year in dramatic fashion. A much anticipated, second full-length album will also grace the catalogue of Stellar Fountain in 2013. Remixing "Pavement", Biologik has provided a scintillating interpretation of Silinder's work. Trademark gritty, "crunchy" beats combined with a popping percussive section form the backbone, upon which a series shimmering delayed arpeggios and riffs are lain upon a collage of luscious pads and deep, rasping lead. Dynamism, vibrancy and innovation %u2013 the hallmark of the Biologik sound.

Both strong production identities in their own rights, the Dutch pairing of Paul Hazendonk and Noraj Cue are a 2013 collaboration concept. As Manual Music head, Hazendonk's refreshingly self-deprecating outlook does not disguise an impressive portfolio of work over a seven-year period; indicative of a man who is confident of his place on the music stage. With work signed to Sudbeat, Outside The Box and a veritable feast on his own Manual label, Paul's work for Proton has included 2012's impressive "Long Journey" and remixes of both Loacs Erepams and Colourblock. From a life fascinated by the wonders of multi-track audio, fellow Dutchman, Noraj Cue has developed into a prominent Dutch producer with over 100 Beatport production credits to his name for the likes of Fever, Flatlife Wired and Dublin Xpress. Furthermore, a score of productions and remixes have appeared on Hazendonk's Manual Music including 2012's "Kracht Synth/Nachtvlinder" featuring a remix from Nick Stoynoff.

Tackling their third joint remix of 2013 and their debut for Proton, Paul Hazendonk and Noraj Cue have produced a brooding atmospheric piece, steeped in subtle string melody and awash with metronomically pulsing pads. The further presence of organic sounds in the shape of piano, organ stabs and drum fills lends further skill to an impressively innovative remix.

With Biologik, Paul Hazendonk and Noraj Cue walking an impressive path, Silinder's journey is 'paved' in gold.

HERNAN CATTANEO - "Very good."
JOHN DIGWEED - "PH & NC remix on this one."
            "
JODY WISTERNOFF - "Superb!"

MARC POPPCKE - "Hazendonk & Cue remix is simply amazing. Support!"

            02. Birkenmeier - Welfare (Namatjira Remix) (One, Due, Drei, Cuarto EP) [Subwoofer Records | SUB165]

Welcome back with a new ep a great talent and a great friend of Subwoofer Records his style is unique: Birkenmeier - One, Due, Drei, Cuarto EP, with the great remix done by Namatjira (Joost Van der Vleuten) from Geldrop, Netherlands.

Namatjira also featured on Resident 103 with an advance preview of 'Ethos'.

            03. Totem Pole - Sobrenatural [unreleased]

Alejandro Gonzalez (aka Totem Pole) hails from Mendoza (Argentina) and has previous releases in Stripped Records and Maktub Records.

            04. Butch - Dimensions (FTS EP) [Desolat | DESOLAT X021]

Butch is rightly regarded as one of the most prolific producers in electronic music, having graced countless revered labels including Sei es Drum, Cocoon, Rekids and Visionquest.

On FTS he makes his long overdue debut on Desolat with four deep and distinctive tracks. Opening track ‘Pompino’ kicks off the EP with a distorted rhythm and contorted vocals which build and build into a twisted and trippy groove. ‘Dimensions’ follows in a similar vein, developing slowly and building tension until the tracks drops back in a distorted fashion with distinctive bells and unnerving harmonies.

B-side ‘Desert Storm’ captivates the listener from the off, with a hypnotic rhythm until the track lives up to its exotic name and sees a wailing vocal comes in and cut through the beat. ‘Sonny Got It Going On’ rounds off the EP in fine style. Proceeding at a slower BPM, it features crisp drums and a dusty gangster-movie sample, culminating in a distinctive and classy slice of electronic music.

On ‘FTS’ Butch lives up to his billing as one of the finest producers around, delivering a four-track twisted and hedonistic journey through expertly crafted underground sounds.
