There was no quick and easy break for Anil – just a steady stream of ear-catching, high-quality house music demos passed around London’s promoters, which led to securing a residency at the acclaimed Together nights at Turnmills. He had the both envious and unenvious task of warming up for electronic music royalty as diverse as The Chemical Brothers, Fatboy Slim, Francois K, Josh Wink, Green Velvet, Simian Mobile Disco, Mylo, Hot Chip, MSTRKRFT, and
Cassius.
Dance music bastions Global Underground soon picked up on his skill across the board and after a series of singles and the stunning debut album ‘Roadhouse’ (with studio partner Dale Anderson), the label has taken him around the world on tours to Argentina, Peru and Guatemala (on his headline tour of South America), to Cocoon in Frankfurt, Australia, Dubai, Miami, Egypt, Amsterdam, Philippines, Ukraine and across the UK. That’s not to mention his separate appearances at Pete Tong’s Wonderland in Ibiza and in countries including Mexico, Russia, USA, Spain, India, Lithuania, Georgia, Austria, Poland, Sweden, Italy and the Channel Islands.
A global fan base was soon established, and guest mixes on BBC Radio 1, Carl Cox’s Global and John Digweed’s Transitions radio shows followed, as well as Anil & Dale holding down their own bi-monthly ‘GU Radio’ show. His DJ profile growing simultaneously and his ever increasing status as a producer, with releases on leading labels like Great Stuff, Cr2, Brique Rouge, and Nic Fanciulli’s Saved Records, alongside countless awards/reviews from DJMag, iDJ, Mixmag and Beatport.
Looking to the future, Anil continues touring across the globe - with everything from deep melodic funk and freaky acid house still all part of his repertoire. His productions continue to gain support from the likes of Richie Hawtin, Laurent Garnier, John Digweed, Pete Tong, Hernan Cattaneo, James Zabiela and Nic Fanciulli – New releases forthcoming on Saved, Bitten, Global Underground, and KD Music will ensure that his name carries on being on the house music cognoscenti’s lips through into the new decade.
