DJ Friction and Drumsound & Bassline Smith @ BBC Radio 1 (18+19.05.2013)

DJ Friction (Shogun Audio) @ DJ Friction Radio Show, BBC Radio 1 (19.05.2013)

Brighton raised, multi award winning Friction is one of the most revered and recognised names in bass music today. Having risen steadily through the ranks since the early 00's as arguably the most adept and most ferocious DJ/producer in the scene, Friction now holds court in the D&B Hall Of Fame thanks to his inauguration at the 2011 Drum & Bass Arena Awards.

Whilst DJ'ing across the world every weekend and heading up the juggernaut record label Shogun Audio, Friction has achieved much commercial success but always keeps his feet firmly on the ground, he was announced at the start of 2012 as the new face of Radio 1's flagship Drum & Bass show he is set for even more accolades in 2013 & beyond.

Friction's last single release, 'Led Astray' got massive radio support from Zane Lowe, Annie Mac, Mistajam, Fearne Cotton, and the whole of club land spending 6 weeks on the Radio 1 playlist at the start of 2012.

Drumsound & Bassline Smith (Technique Recordings) @ MistaJam Radio Show, BBC 1Xtra (18.05.2013)

Drum & Bass would not be the same without Drumsound & Bassline Smith (aka Andy Wright, Benjamin Wiggett and Simon Bassline Smith). Together the trio have body-slammed dancefloors from Derby to Durban and established themselves as three of the finest Drum & Bass tastemakers on the planet, courtesy of the blue chip label Technique Recordings – an imprint that celebrated 10 years of killer dancefloor joints in 2009. In the first few months of 2012, the group entered the UK charts with Ministry Of Sound released single “What Can You Do For Me”, alongside Utah Saints. No surprise that demand has seen the guys independently tour all corners of the globe setting the standard across America, Canada, Australia, France, Italy, Germany, Russia, Iceland, Spain, Holland, Sweden, Ireland, Czech Republic, Brazil, Poland, Switzerland, Uruguay, Norway and Italy.
