And the winner was "OK Computer" - and I simply can't argue with that.

Can't believe that Metallica's Black album didn't make it somewhere in the top 100. Very little electronic music (although I'm pleased that Coltrane's Love Supreme got in there),

This release was mastered direct from vinyl at the request of the DJ and as such features natural sound characteristics of this medium such as record surface noise.

yes great choice for number 1. OK Computer is still magical.

pink floyd - dark side of the moon

all these years after it was first released, it still sounds fresh. a timeless classic i never get tired of listening too. can't think of any other album in it's class.

Personally I thought Ok Computer was pants - and I am willing to give most music a chance, just thought this was crap.

My favourite ever - U2-Achtung baby - the classic break up album for me.

The problem with not being the 1st to answer this type of topic is that you get influenced by other people?s answers. Let me try though :

                      Tool - Aenima
                      Deftones - White Pony
Faith No More - Angel Dust
                      Massive Attack - Mezzanine
                      Depeche Mode - Violator
                      U2 - The Unforgettable Fire
New Order - Power, Corruption & Lies
                      Dave Clarke - Archive One
                      Underworld - DubNoBassWithMyHeadMan
                      Hardfloor - Respect
