Personally, I would donate the money i received to start a charity directly to Médecins Sans Frontières and maybe expand on their food distribution programs.

to avoid corrupt entities/organizations/ONGs and that kind of groups that are said not to have political interests (I don't brlieve them), I remembered I cooked and served food at a place nearby home where homeless people went to have something to eat. The food was donated by many companies and people
my uncle has been the pres of a non-profit here in town that serves 500 meals a day to the homeless and individuals trying to get back on their feet.
I am going to get more involved with that and eventually raise money to buy backpacks with 150 different survival items inside to give to the homeless (bandaids, solar blanket, flashlight, etc etc etc).
My uncles Charity gets so much food donated they actually need another food storage unit outside. Anyone have any ideas of who I should try to contact to have one of these donated??
I would create a fund that would give homeless people who are looking for jobs a place to stay for a few weeks. A place to clean up, borrow dress clothes for interviews, food as well. A big problem with homeless is that they are discouraged from employment and even if employers hope to hire a homeless person, they can't get in contact with them with no personal address or phone to call.
America's 50 worst charities rake in nearly $1 billion for corporate fundraisers.
The worst charity in America operates from a metal warehouse behind a gas station in Holiday.
Every year, Kids Wish Network raises millions of dollars in donations in the name of dying children and their families.
Every year, it spends less than 3 cents on the dollar helping kids.
Most of the rest gets diverted to enrich the charity's operators and the for-profit companies Kids Wish hires to drum up donations.
In the past decade alone, Kids Wish haschanneled nearly $110 million donated for sick children to its corporate solicitors. An additional $4.8 million has gone to pay the charity's founder and his own consulting firms.
No charity in the nation has siphoned more money away from the needy over a longer period of time.
But Kids Wish is not an isolated case, a yearlong investigation by the Tampa Bay Times and The Center for Investigative Reporting has found.
