      Re: Macromedia bought by Adobe.

My experience with Adobe products leaves me somewhat confused. There?ss the good, the reasonable & the awful :

      - The awful to me, is Acrobat...even though the PDF format is good in itself, I can?t see how it justifies the ammount of bloatedness of that program. Just compare it with the Free FoxIt Reader and you?ll see what I mean.

      - The reasonable : Photoshop.

      - The good : Adobe Audition - Adobe buying out Syntrillium and taking hold of Cool Edit Pro left some people fearing for the quality of the program, but to me, it is now the best Audio Editor out there, beating the likes of Wavelab and Soundforge, for a lot less money too. It could have gone so wrong, look what Sony did to Acid.

Actually they still have a lot of competitors in the higher end visual effects, broadcast, and 3d markets. All of which they seem to have plans to delve into or have once tried before..... haha dimensions. Still lots of improvement/things to develop.

Damn this is really big. Adobe just keeps getting bigger.

Maybe we'll see some combo apps like Dreamshop Photoweaver or Flashastrator.
