In Hour 2 it's Memory9, another artist playing at Soundwave Festival and someone who has featured many times on Solid Steel. For his 25th Anniversary mix it's a personal panoramic view of tracks played on the show that have influenced his musical interests over the years. Starting with music from Ninja Tune artists in the 90's from Amon Tobin, his previous incarnation Cujo, Coldcut, DJ Toolz and Clifford Gilberto, before moving forward into the 00's with Jurassic 5, Prefuse 73, Luke Vibert and Four Tet. Then it's more recent tracks from Flying Lotus, Silent Dust remixed by Om Unit, Teebs and more from Bonobo, plus a whole heap of Solid Steel references. The Memory9 12" 'The Abyss Within' is available on July 22nd on Mnemonic Dojo with remixes by Om Unit and H-SIK.
