IMO, they are the least exciting of the producers of that Iberican sound. Their productions sort of put me to sleep most of the time.

Can't comment on their DJ sets, though.

Ok, 1st of all, go check their site out : http://www.stereo-productions.com/

I?m a big fan, and what I can tell you is, if you like your House music funky and tribal and dark, you?ll love them, because they, and the Stereo artists, do it like no one else does...many times imitated, but never matched.

It?s no wonder Danny Tenaglia started hyping them a few years ago.

Unfortunately, like I said in another thread, their influence on Iberican music (Portugal and Spain) has become so big, that their style is constantly being ripped off by other people...either it?s DJ?s playing nothing but a whole set of Stereo releases, or "producers" sticking congas, cabassas and djembe loops everywhere and calling any crap a "tribal-influenced house track"

As DJ?s they?re also pretty good (Ceballos plays harder than Chus), and their style is much the same as the music they put out. They come here all the time too, so I guess we?re lucky...

believe the hype!!! if you like tribal/ ptogressive tribal ..then this guys are your cup of tea... the stereo umbrella is probably one of the best tribal labels around... their list of producers/remixers is amazing... i've only seen them dj once, i didn't get to really enjoy their set because of issues going on that night, but what they played was amazing.. they were banging it out like no other.....again you must like tribal to like these guys

You posted this as I was writing my post.

I agree in a way, if you?re talking about their latest stuff...they started it all, and it seems like the artists they signed to their label surpassed them...that?s why I tried to say that the other Stereo artists & DJ?s should definitely be checked out.

My personal recomendations : Roman Lieske, Pete Tha Zouk, DeLoren & Colors, Richie Santana and Marcelo Castelli.

Exactly - I remember taking note of a couple of their tracks from a few years back, but everytime I hear something new from them now I'm forgetting it after about 30 seconds. But all of the labels under the Stereo umbrella are still consistently great.

                fuck yes.

                Marcelo Castelli =

I still get off on "South America" - one of the best dark tribal tracks ever, IMO.

I?ll try to listen to it anyway, man. Just because I?m a bit tired of the sound doesn?t mean I don?t enjoy listening to it once in a while. The Victor Calderone mix actually reminded me of why I loved the tribal sound in the 1st place.

Chus & Ceballos are fantastic producers. Their sound has def. changed from the dark tribal to that more future sound like "Echoes from Doruma".

I saw them here in NJ in a club once and it def. wasn't anything mind blowing by far.
