    01. Edu Imbernon & Triumph - Veranoski (Henry Saiz Remix) [Bedrock Digital | Beddigi-35]

Bedrock warmly welcome Edu Imbernon & Triumph to the label with their outstanding Veranoski release. A track that has been a firm favourite of John Digweed for quite some time we are sure this will be a big track for fans of the label. Along with the original comes a fantastic remix from Henry Saiz who has had some big releases on the label himself. All in all quite a package and one we hope you enjoy.

“This is the only way that people will remember your music, trying to make them feel something special and making them dance.” – Edu Imbernon

Having remixed Jozif’s “Twilight” for John Digweed’s “Live In London” opus and played at the Bedrock anniversary party where the live recording was made, Spain’s Edu Imbernon has already demonstrated a brilliant ear for pulsating house music. Now, he returns, having teamed up with fellow Spaniard Triumph, with “Veranoski” - another haunting masterclass in dancefloor dynamics.

Edu Imbernon is a great example of how a young artist can quickly make their mark on the electronic scene, his worldwide hit - “El Baile Alemán” (produced with his friend Coyu), was lauded as "Best Underground Track of the Year" by Beatport in 2009. Since then, he has continued his steady ascent up the ladder towards house music stardom, with quality remixes for the likes of The XX and Maya Jane Coles, amongst others. His productions have featured on notable labels like Get Physical, Noir Music, Trapez, Great Stuff, Diynamic, alongside his own Eklektisch label. He's also resident for Kehakuma at Space, Ibiza.

The superb remix of “Veranoski” comes from another of Spain’s finest – Henry Saiz – whose outings on Bedrock are always exceptional. Henry's critically acclaimed “Balance 019” album, released in 2011, was the catalyst for his star potential explode around the globe. His superb collaboration with Guy J (“Meridian”) and his solo track (“La Marea”) for the landmark Bedrock 100 release, were of the highest level of quality and his “Cryptozoologist EP” (BEDDIGI27) was one of 2012’s highlights. Here, his remix of “Veranoski” once again proves Henry Saiz is undoubtedly one of the most extraordinarily talented young producers around.

    03. Gui Boratto - Too Late [Kompakt | KOM 285]

A true stalwart of the KOMPAKT program since his inaugural 2005 vintage offering Arquipélago 'GUI BORATTO shot to prominence thanks to his audacious live shows and a expansive release. With highy acclaimed club hits like 'Beautiful Life' and 'No Turning Back' in this locker the Brazilian producer has captured worldwide audiences and continues to do so with his latest concoction TOO LATE , a wonderful pop-infused12" hosting two irresistible magnetic floorbusters and an abundance of style.

GUI BORATTOs tracks are often called the Swiss army knife of club music considered, as they are still the laziest bunch elicit a shout, no matter what context or color. This could be for catchy melodies and beats hüftschwingende, a very handy combination, the simplistic notions genre is sent off with a stern sense of the surefire producers. Title track TOO LONG looks no different, as the relaxed finger exercise for house starting, he soon builds its immersive qualities with well-tempered female vocals from the classic pop ornamentation certainly owe a lot like how the textures of club music.

In the meantime, the back run wild with CAN WE GO, a hearty cracker that seeks world domination with passionate bassline and addictive beats. The characteristic vocals men like to spend a message of peace, but one should not confuse this with a surrender - this is an commanding voice, relates the position and not the will of the plush whining and invertebrates. A very powerful piece of dance floor glory appears here closer to the listener and witnessed the successful finely honed skills GUI BORATTOs with tracks that can be counted to the best of what has flowed from him to date the pots. A perfect reason to finally once again to get the best dance outfit out of the closet.

    04. Nina Kraviz - Best Friend (DVS1 Forever Mix feat. Naughty Wood) [Rekids | REKIDS073]

Next up in the line of Nina Kraviz tracks to get a facelift is the sparse and eerie ‘Best Friend’. Following on from the impressive Detroit instalment of the remix series (provided by Marcellus Pittman and Urban Tribe), we travel 700 miles north-west from Michigan to Minnesota, where techno pioneer of the Midwest DVS1 resides.

Enlisting the vocal services of his fellow Minneapolis-dwelling musician Naughty Wood, DVS1 has produced two excellent remixes that DJs have been eager to get their hands on since the first airing on Nina’s BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix last year. On his ‘Forever Mix’, DVS1 gives the original version a kick up the backside, ramping up the tempo and volume knob on the kick drum, whilst simultaneously taking it into deeper, melancholic territory with Naughty Wood’s musings and wistful chord progressions - somewhat reminiscent of his track ‘Pressure’, released on Derrick May’s prestigious Transmat label in 2010. These sombre chords are transformed into organ-like chimes on the more rhythm-focussed ‘Dub Test’ - where the vocals are reduced to percussive, creepy whispers, heavily delayed alongside rim shots and shakers.

    05. Axel Bartsch - Don't Forget The Funk [Basmati ‎| Basmati#11]

Axel Bartsch was a regular contributor to Kompakt Extra's Speicher series before founding his Hannover based Sportclub imprint with Asem Shama, releasing his Experiment Musik album in 2011 [Sportclub27]. Here he debuts for Gabriel Ananda's Basmati.

    06. Blond:ish - Inward Visions feat. Beyou [Kompakt | KOM 268]

Since their glistening "Lovers In Limbo" EP, Blond:ish have upped their ante with some pretty impressive production work and dj performances, shell-shocking clubbers worldwide with their personal brand of holistic glamour. Now, the duo infernale prepares an upcoming 12" release with their hotly tipped EP "Inward Visions" for Kompakt, featuring two ricocheting tracks firing up the engine and heading for a twilight joyride on Lynch beach. To be out on July 22 the EP plays an important part in Kompakt's summer offensive and it comes with two delightfully dystopian dance tracks that will hotwire your dopamine receptors.

    Bio

Originally hatched in Montreal, but currently based in London, DJ's Anstascia and Vivie-Ann have established their musical blueprint by proving that they don't fit the quintessential stereotype they‘re toying around with. In the last few years, Blond:ish has carved out its unique production recipe which focuses on the art of creating music that is organic and multi-dimensional. Provocative basslines contrasted with smooth textures and sticky vocals blend into a genre of house that rebels against being pigeonholed to any specific category. Blond:ish's innovative and quirky reputation certainly wasn't grown on a tree, but materialized in the dark trenches of Cherry nightclub in Montreal. Anyone that has attended their parties can attest that there is something very special about this underground midweek mangle. It's the winning formula of diverse freaks, organized chaos and Blond:ish's genre defying sets that has them still holding their monthly residency since 2008. This duo rides off each other’s hefty musical knowledge and flawless technique with their diverse personas only adding to the intrigue. Anstascia’s unruly demeanor and creative spark spirals against Vivie-Ann’s scientific and geek-chic flair in a whirlwind of inspiration and contrast. The result is a force to be reckoned with, a vibe that effortlessly transcends in the studio, behind the booth and more than anything, to the dancefloor.

    07. H-Foundation & David Durango - Surface (Paint It Black EP) [Supplement Facts | SFR038]

As Guy Gerber's new season 'Wisdom Of The Glove' party at Pacha Ibiza proceeds with unstoppable momentum, it would appear that the man of the moment still finds time to discover high quality, arresting releases for his Supplement Facts label. The latest EP, 'Paint It Black', comes courtesy of an electric collaboration that recently proved its worth on a remix for Alland Byallo's 'Bygones' release for Thoughtless Music. USA based duo H-Foundation and Switzerland's David Durango join forces on this tech house two tracker, which see's the artists explore the more dissident edges of the genre.

As 'Surface' opens, it's the beautifully textured, hollow sounding percussion that immediately sets out to sculpt a sophisticated groove. While the bass note grunts with a sultry force, sporadic minor chords smatter the top end to disorienting effect and its vocal is reduced to a distant, impersonal articulation. 'Canvas' eases you in with a maraca-esque hi-hat swing, but don't be fooled into thinking that this is simply a frivolous club track. As the production unfolds, the bass stabs get darker, dissonant twangs become more frequent and breathy, uncomfortable inhalations make for a real sense of foreboding.

It's this perfectly balanced layering, organic structure and an intuition that never loses sight of the dance floor that really demonstrates the production power at work within this collaboration.

    08. Foals - Late Night (Solomun Remix) [Warner Bros. | 825646427796]

As new Sunday night Pacha resident Solomun gears up for another rousing summer on Ibiza, he gives us a well crafted remix of the indie-rock track Late Night by British indie group, Foals.

Solomun is chief of the Hamburg based Diynamic imprint and frontman of the label’s wildly popular showcase parties, Neon Nights. Here theGerman house DJ Solomun has given ‘Late Night’ a proper working over, upping the BPM and turning it into something bordering on a club banger – transforming the epic ‘staaaaaay with me’ pay off from the original into an equally epic synth line in the process. [AllNoise]

While you may already be familiar with Sasha‘s Involv3r remix of Foals’ Late Night, Solomun is able to render a refreshingly different arrangement of the record. The smooth and passionate vocals of Yannis Philippakis are complemented flawlessly by the reworked tempo and harmonious synth play throughout, which still contains the raw emotion of the original track. Solomun keeps the percussion pattern tight and highlights it with a low descending bass line. Overall, it’s simple, yet refined. [TheBeatMill]

Solomun has taken English indie rock band Foals’ latest single “Late Night” and given it a fresh spin. The original is the third single on Foals’ upcoming third studio album Holy Fire, while Solomun’s remix has no set release date announced. Letting the original’s emotive, blues-y vocals take center stage, Solomun has laid out a house groove fitting it for dancefloors this summer.

Solomun keeps the eerie vibe while also soaking it in an electronic soup, using analog synths to emphasize the bass line and add his own leads. Solomun’s use of analog synthesizers gives the track a full-bodied warmth, yet his leads retain a coldness to it, giving the track an overall mystical feeling. The track’s vocals and musical themes also reminds me of Edward Munch’s famous painting “The Scream” and it’s this sort of full concept that makes this track an absolute gem. If you have no soul, you can probably just skip this. This one is for the tender folk. [DoAndroidsDance]
