    Monkey (Japanese Tv series)

    Or was it called monkey magic?

    Either way he was pretty bad ass.

    Probably first superhero as a child.

    Did anyone else watch this?

    The lady that played Tripitaka (the male priest who looked like a woman...they actually made it known in the script) died of cancer a while back.

    Being so long ago I remember the horse Tripitaka rode on turned into a guy for a while...and possibly back to a horse.

      Sounds familiar, sounds like it's based on Journey to the West.
