The Classic Music Company by Luke Solomon & Derrick Carter continues to play the game under their own conditions. As a label it never died it just retreated for a while in order to come back stronger. All hail the king because the king is back. Long live Classic!

02. The XX - Tides (Dixon Remix) [Innervisions | YT095]
A M A Z I N G remix of the XX from Innervisions lot. Our love for both is a well known fact, so this EP encapsulates a lot of things we dig here at Phonica. Essential to say the least. Bag yourself a copy. These are gonna go like hotcakes.
Digital versions available on Young Turks :
We teamed up with one our favourite labels, Innervisions for a joint 12" as Young Visions. You can also buy a limited 12" pressing. [Young Turks]
We asked one of our favourite labels, Berlin-based Innervisions, to have three of their artists remix tracks from 'Coexist'. The result is 'Youngvisions', a collaborative release between our label Young Turks and Innervisions. {The XX]
Berlin’s Innervisions get three artists on their roster to remix tracks from The xx’s incredible ‘Coexist’. Released on Young Turks, this is a collaborative effort from both labels, and sees Ame, Dixon and Marcus Worgull applying their individual touches to the muted cuts of The xx. Dixon opts for a Balearic club effort, Worgull’s is a dubby builder, and finally Ame goes for lo-fi atmospherics with the spotlight shone on the haunting steel drum. [Bleep.com]
Strictly Limited Edition. You better hurry on this one. Âme, Dixon and Marcus Worgull overhaul The xx for refined house 'floors. Each producer envisions the group's fragile soul in their own image, from the slow build and delayed gratification of Âme's take on 'Reunion' to Dixon's posh-trancing turn of 'Tides' to the steady groove of Marcus Worgull's 'Fiction' re-do. 03. Feline 9 - Right About Now (Audioshapes Remix) [Undulate Recordings | UR007]
Following the successful launch of their vinyl-only sub label, Undulate Limited, the Undulate Crew comes correct yet again with their 7th release. For this outing, Billy & Al call on Undulate’s man of the hour, James Ellis; and as expected, Mr. Ellis answers with a monster EP under his tech infused guise, Feline 9. ‘Right About Now’ is a groovy slice of tech with remixes by Mihai Popoviciu, and Undulate staple, Frankie Pep.

04. Dj W!LD - Shape U (Fur Coat Remake) [Rebellion | RBL016]
DJ W!LD is back, this time on Crosstown offshoot Rebellion with a stomping summer anthem featuring Cari Golden on vocals ‘Shape U’. The original fuses the solid punch of a club weapon with the laidback feel of poolside disco, while the Fur Coat Remake gives the track an entirely different sheen all chugging disco bass-line, dark synths and pitched down vocals. An
aptly named WILDER remix and dub from the producer ties up an unmissable EP.
The prolific DJ W!LD is one of France’s longest serving underground house heroes. As part of the Cocoon family and as a Circo Loco resident, DJ W!LD under various aliases has released on labels such as OFF Recordings, Robsoul, and his own imprints Catwash Records and W including debut album ‘Palace’ in 2011. Second album ‘D!RTY’ landed on Cabin Fever last year.
Originally from Dijon, W!LD’s passion for graffiti, street culture, disco, funk and hip hop led him into DJing, taking his name from cult 1983 film Wild Style. Relocating to Paris in 1996, DJ W!LD was instrumental in the French house scene, pouring his energies into the city’s underground club community and later becoming a globally successful artist and fixture at the best international clubs and festivals.
Fur Coat have been blazing a trail since their mighty debut album in 2012 on Crosstown Rebels ‘Mind Over Matter’ also featuring Cari Golden on vocals on the massive hit ‘You And I’. The fast-rising Venezuelan duo have been remixed by TEED and have a single forthcoming on Crosstown.
05. Daniel Dexter - Why So Serious? (UNER Remix) [Poker Flat Recordings | PFR 140]
Fresh from his epic and celebratory ‘Focus On’ album, Daniel Dexter returns to Poker Flat with a bang. This release pulls together some blistering remixes of tracks that originally appeared on 'Focus On' - supplied by some of the hottest producers from the underground.
First up is Uner, the young Spaniard whose work on labels such as Cadenza has been turning heads of late. His remix of Dexter’s 'Why So Serious' is a bomb – driving Tech House with a big room feel that will be flipping dancefloors upside down for the rest of the summer.
David Keno also works some magic on 'Storm' – another stand out track from Dexter’s long player. Keno’s elegant touch with melody and rhythmic complexity takes 'Storm' in a new direction - resulting in a piece of music that works equally as a floor burner as it does in a listening context.
Kollektiv Turmstrasse have been building a unstoppable juggernaut of buzz over the past few years, and with their Blindbird remix of 'Birds', it’s easy to see why. The German duo pull out this devious slice of deep Electro/Techno that is as assured as it is weird - a true must have for the heads.
The legend that is Ian Pooley doesn’t disappoint with his version of 'Night Away feat. Geraldine Roth', taking the original and twisting it to his own brand of taut, focussed tech-house.
All four remixes are available via the 12inch from Poker Flat. Digital customers can also pick up the originals of each cut, split over two parts.

06. Locomatica - Desultory (Interdicted EP) [Fone Audio | FA020]
It's time for our 20th release, to celebrate this we've invited Serbian producer duo, Locomatica.
The 'Interdicted EP' is all about peak time dance floor action. With it's ongoing deep and hard hitting chords, Interdicted is perfect for the later hours of this summer's hot sweaty nights. Desultory on the other hand is all about hypnotising the dance floor, as the track progresses all the layers of percussion and melodies emerge to create that special vibe!

07. The Japanese Popstars - Disconnect / Reconnect [Bedrock Records | BEDTJP01CD]
HARDER... DARKER... STRONGER... ‘Disconnect/Reconnect’ is the third studio album from The Japanese Popstars, and the first new music since 2012’s IMS anthem, ‘Matter Of Time’ (featuring Green Velvet), caught the ears of Laurent Garnier, Francois K, Carl Cox and John Digweed, who promptly signed TJP to his Bedrock label.
After flirting with major label success via an album deal with Virgin/EMI Records and getting to work with their heroes including The Cures Robert Smith, The Japanese Popstars have returned to the underground and the sound that first brought them so much attention. Now a duo, aka Gary Curran and Gareth Donoghue, they're once again making the music they love.
At the core of The Japanese Popstars is the contrast between the dark and the light, and while Disconnect/Reconnect is brimming with tough, punchy techno, it features the occasional moment of blissful electronica that punctuated earlier albums such as We Just Are. Ultimately built for dark rooms and nocturnal festival shows, Disconnect/Reconnect is a back to basics release that finds The Japanese Popstars gaze fixed firmly on the future.

08. Tom Rowlands - Nothing But Pleasure [Phantasy Sound | PH 24]
Phantasy is proud to release a one-off double A side 12” from The Chemical Brothers’ Tom Rowlands.
‘Through Me’ is an all-cylinders, propulsive elasticated house track while ‘Nothing But Pleasure’ is eight-plus minutes of unstoppable Metallic KO disco. Both tracks reiterate the point that Tom is unarguably one of the greatest producers of club music around.
The 12” vinyl will be in the shops within the next couple of weeks; the download will follow a few weeks afterwards.
Tom Rowlands: “These are tracks that were made to DJ with. I gave them to Erol to road test; he loved them so it seemed a perfect fit for Phantasy – I love what he does with the label. The Chemical Brothers haven’t any plans to release new music this year – we’re soon to start work on a new record – so this 12” seemed an exciting way to get music into clubs now.”
Erol Alkan: “Every time I played the tracks out people were desperate to find out what they were. Both have been highlights in my Dj sets for the last few months.”
