hear that kobes, boy bands w/ dj's ain't cuttin it....also, already remixed the track i sent you "aquatix (get in the fuckin pool)", way better... , headphones got my ears bleeding....
Yeah, I just wanted to say the same, there's nothing wrong with rock music. That's what I first started listening to. I mean, look how many crazy bands are in rock music: Radiohead, Floyd, Hendrix, Beatles, I can keep goin, but you get the point.
I?ve loved rock music before I loved Dance music, that?s for sure, and I stilll listen to a lot of it.
I remember showing a few records by Tool to a DJ friend who spins progressive/tribal, a few months ago, and he fucking loved it. Maybe because in a way they?re the "metal" counterpart of progressive house : long tracks, complex structures, intelligence, weird and out there sounds...
Besides Tool (my favourites), I stilll listen to Faith No More records all the time, how amazing and influential was "Angel Dust"? What a shock it was for me when they did a cover of Pump Up The Jam in the beginning of the 90?s.
Besides these, I love stuff like NIN, Collide, Deftones, Skindred, Chevelle, and this weird recent band called Atomship.
And finally, I?ll plug an awesome Portuguese band : Blasted Mechanism - www.blastedmechanism.com
i listen to 100 % edm...but there was a period when i was married and wasn't really allowed to go out *whooped * and i lost touch with edm. i started listening to rock.. there are a few bands that i like and that i'll listen to at work.. alice in chains, korn, tool, pearl jam (first album only) soundgarden (until superun known), stp, sepultura, pantera...some of these i cant play at work obviously
if i mentioned the grateful f-in dead will i ever be able to post again???
No. The process is already underway. And after you're no longer allowed to post I'm gonna start working on Kobe for posting 'Incubus'.
wait a second, chem admits to liking Mr. Brightside and I'M getting the ban???
chester, if the new track is half as good as terra it will be right up there with S.C.I.E.N.C.E , and that new Joey McIntyre record-- you know how I love those boy bands
Chem, it is alright to listen to different styles of music. Music is music not matter what it is. I listen to rock music every once in a while. But I mostly listen to dance most of the time.
its true, i have been well into Mr Brightside by The Killers recently and yeasterday i heard the new single by the Poo Fighters (Times Like These) and i fucking love it! dunno whats happening to me, i used to be into some rock type stuff in the 80's besides Depeche Mode who were my main interest but since i got into dance music i have never looked back until now, strange indeed.
if ya like killers check out bloc partys album, even better, i luvit
