    Release Notes:

    01. Emiliana Torrini - Speed Of Dark (Andrew Weatherall Remix) [Rough Trade Records | Promo]

Featured on Weatherall's deathmetaldiscoclub mix. Lead single ‘Speed of Dark’ is taken from Emiliana Torrini's ourth album ‘Tookah’, the follow-up to 2008’s ‘Me And Armini’. It sees Emiliana back in the studio with her long-term producer / collaborator Dan Carey.

    Limited release info.

One of the leading figures in the electronic music scene, Andrew Weatherall has been in the business for over twenty years now. From acid to post punk, from techno to disco, this guy has seen it all.

As a musician, producer and remixer Weatherall has been famed for his work with The Sabres of Paradise and it's accompanying label. He was also the mastermind behind the Emissions Audio Output label but really caught the world's attention when he got signed to Warp Records with his Two Lone Swordsmen project, a project he did with Keith Tenniswood.

These days Weatherall focuses on The Asphodells, a new project with his studio engineer Timothy J. Fairplay. They've just released an amazing debut album in the beginning of 2013. They've been remixed quite a few times now and we are happy to announce that they've got an remix album coming up on September 2nd.

    02. Primal Scream - Invisible City (Daniel Avery Drone City Remix) [Ignition | SCRM002WL]

One of two remixes I've made for Primal Scream. There is also a "Kill Light" version. Both remixes available as a limited 12" on Ignition [Daniel Avery].

Super limited. Following the superb Weatherall remixes of last single '2013', next up are these stellar interpretations from non other than Daniel Avery! Dan's recent musical output has included a handful of modern classics, which have cemented his position as one of the UK's most exciting young producers. These remixes raise the bar yet again, and are truly superb, atmospheric, late night workouts. These are official promo copies from the label, preceding the full release.

    03. Jemmy - Waterloo Blues (Yousef Circus Remix) [Bedrock Digital | Beddigi-36]

Anyone who was at the Bedrock party in Liverpool earlier this year will know that this is a musical city through and through, so its great to see one of Liverpool’s finest up and coming talents releasing his excellent music on John Digweed’s label. Jemmy’s Bedrock debut “Quarry Bank” appeared on the Bedrock 14 compilation in 2012 and paved the way for this debut single release

“Waterloo Blues” is pure summer sunshine magic with its delicious swirling melodies and scratchy beats. Jemmy has always eschewed genre, his knowledge and love for music from right across the spectrum, as well as his own unique sound, means he appeals to a wide range of DJs, borne out by the fact that the likes of John Digweed, Danny Tenaglia, Slam & Paco Osuna are giving him their support.

Jemmy is also making a big impact on the world of electronic music with his long standing DJ residencies with Freeze, as well as for the mighty Cream across Europe. He also has the rare and impressive claim of being the world’s first ever DJ to play at Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral! During the day Jemmy runs his own record shop and label – Liverpool’s world-renowned 3B Records. It’s no wonder that big things are happening for this super-talented young man!

Fellow scouser and Circus master, Yousef, lends his support with his Circus Rework of “Waterloo Blues”, taking it on a deeper hypnotic journey to create a perfect package. The top rank international DJ, producer, club promoter and music aficionado shows exactly why he is at the top of his game and so respected.

    04. Jimmy Van M & AFFKT Feat. Luxor T - Dreams [Bedrock Digital | Beddigi-37]

Jimmy Van M has been an integral part of Bedrock's history with many releases from the labels inception. Most recently he and Oliver Lieb teamed up to bring us their Collaborations album release in 2012 as well as his "We Are Children" track which featured on John Digweed's Structures Two CD in 2011.

Now in 2013, Jimmy Van M is back on Bedrock and this time he has teamed up with Spanish producer AFFKT and Argentinean Producer/Singer Luxor T. Jimmy Van M and Luxor T have been working for more than a year now together and currently working an album project. Luxor T a trained musician and Jimmy´s production experience on the dancefloor is hitting the right combination for freshly unique tracks each time. AFFKT heard one of Jimmy´s new tracks feat Luxor T - Like U and liked the vocal. When talking they agreed to try an original together with Luxor T vocals which is how Dreams came into play and rest fell into place easy with great vibes. Working together on this project AFFKT and Jimmy Van M feed off the creativity and positive enthusiasm to make quality music, you can hear they are into it and having fun.

The result is Dreams which is a bass driven track that builds and builds with swung percussion creating a relentless groove with Luxor T's vocal layered perfectly over it all with an almost hypnotic effect. For those who prefer the dub vibe there is stripped back version of Dreams without the vocal which features extended pads and toughened up percussion. The final piece is Lucid which is a much more heads down affair for a darker and trippier ride than Dreams which will be perfect for tougher and techier sets. All in all a quality package that should have something for everyone and as we have witnessed John Digweed successfully road testing all of them over the past few months we know they rock on the dancefloor. Enjoy.

    05. Santos & David Gtronic - Deep Luv (Reboot's Picnic Excursion) [Serkal Music | SEV003]

For Serkal’s ninth release, we are proud to present the ‘Deep Luv’ EP. Bringing together two of the most innovative techno producers in the entire industry, ‘Deep Luv’ is an eclectic combination of seductive grooves infused with underground vibes that accompany listeners through the darker side of the sound spectrum. Marking his debut appearance on Serkal, legendary DJ/producer Santos has teamed up with label favorite David Gtronic to yield a unique tune that boasts an uncanny mixture of journey-esque breakdowns that flawlessly transcend into intoxicating rhythm-filled drops.

Also included on this release are two masterfully crafted remixes compliments of Cadenza’s favorite son, Reboot. The first, dubbed ‘Reboot’s Concrete Jungle Jam’, is a much deeper take on the original. Presenting a more subtle bass line throughout, Reboot’s tribute to the Concrete Jungle emits a much more laid back atmosphere.

Mr.Heinrich’s second remix, which he has titled ‘Reboot’s Picnic Excursion’, is a ten minute journey into a new creative domain not commonly heard from the German superstar. Still remaining on the deeper side of things, ‘Reboot’s Picnic Excursion’ is an entrancing trip filled with emotion driven melodies. Set to release on the 23rd of July, the ‘Deep Luv’ EP will be available both digitally and on vinyl.

    06. Daniel Stefanik - Keep On (Mathias Kaden's Brothers In Crime Remix) [Cocoon Recordings | COR12"107]

Daniel Stefanik generated some buzz this year with his latest album release on Cocoon Recordings. And he proved with a number of outstanding DJ-sets over the last weeks that he progressed to a well respected and some of the “most wanted” artists around. We are happy to have the Leipzig house hero aboard and we are proud to announce the long awaited remix-12″ featuring remixes by Adam Port, Mr. G, Mathias Kaden and Legowelt. All four delivered outstanding mixes and we are not only saying this because we have to.

Let’s begin with Adam Port’s remix for “Confidence” in which he delivers a real deep and housey gem with cool Moodyman-like elements. The dark bass-line could also be found in a Carl-Craig-Mix and creates a deep arrangement with lots of space and room. However don’t sit back and relax as Adam Ports manages it to conjure a hedonistic and energetic tune that will for sure set floors on fire this summer! Although this Adam Port remix seems to be different to the ones we know at first glance it turns out to be one of his best works ever so far! Another “Adam Port sure shot!”

Mathias Kaden, Stefanik’s dj-partner-in-crime, builds his remix for “Brothers in Crime” on a very solid and pumping NY-housebeat that creates a decent amount of power and energy. The synths and the dub chords on top make this arrangement complete and close to perfection when it comes to merge house and techno. This one will be heard in many DJ-sets this summer for sure!

Mr. G is following the house route here, too however he creates an atmosphere closer to the one on Stefanik’s album. He incorporates more old skool elements such as straight forward 909-hihats and cymbals which results in a driving piece of house music. The filtered strings on top create a dark and foggy club vibe like we know it from the good old days of dirty house music.

Last but not least there is Legowelt with another remix. And no surprise Legowelt focus on the technoid and crazy side of house and techno. 16th hihats, space sounds and analogue synth-action form a mix that refers strongly to the high days of Detroit Techno. A crazy piece of music that could fit into a modern Sci-Fi-Soundtrack and almost deserves the rating “Meisterwerk”. On top a very welcome addition to this über-house-package!

    07. Spectrasoul - The Curb (James Zabiela Remix) (Delay No More - The Remixes EP) [Shogun Audio | SHA070]

After delivering one the finest electronic albums of 2012 the production powerhouse Spectrasoul are back once more to present an array of glorious new music on the first anniversary of said debut album Delay No More. Jack Stevens and David Kennett have hand picked some of their favourite artists from all corners of the musical spectrum to give their own take on some of the highlights of an LP that stunned the likes of NME, Clash, DJ and Mixmag.

As you'd expect standards are sky high and the outcome is another package of pure musical prowess. From the moment you see pedigree producer dBridges name on the page you know something specials in store and indeed his take on Memento is all kinds of awesome. Lifting it up even further to exquisitely ethereal heights dBridge does the job with aplomb. DLR then steps in to lush up Sometimes We Lie into a weighty peaktime roller thatll move mountains whilst Shogun homeboy Rockwell does something rather astonishing with S.O.U.R, turning it into a half-time hip-hop hybrid complete with an all-new monster riff to step to. Watch out!

Deep house aficionado James Zabiela then offers a refreshing take on The Curb, drawing it into some spooked out 4/4 territories, cutting up the vocals and dropping some throbbing bass thatll see this mess up dance floors all over. Then CMX delves deep to turn Spectrasouls own house excursion Away With Me into a deep broken beat affair with the legendary Calibre and Kito bringing up the rear to add their previously released efforts to this absolutely stunning EP.

    08. Ninetoes - Finder (Supernova Remix [Kling Klong | KLING081]

Ninetoes' surprise summer hit 'Finder' is definitely one of the biggest Kling Klong successes ever for the two label heads Martin Eyerer & Rainer Weichhold. Charted by the likes of Davide Squillace, Kevin Saunderson, Matthias Tanzmann, Supernova, Nice7, Dinky, ATFC, Rainer Trüby... and in beatport's deep house charts for over 10 weeks now.
