After its inception in 2002 by Emiliano "EMIJAY" Nencioni & Giacomo "G.O.D.I" Godi the pairings Supernova project wasted no time in generating hype and gaining momentum as the two DJ’s and producers started to attract national attention in their native country of Italy, their debut album a year later turning heads for its ability to bridge the gap between classic Balearic chillout and upbeat melodic techno. Following the release of their well received album the duo then began to embark on a series of innovative live shows as they sought to share their studio experience with fans before coming to global attention with their sophomore album in 2007 which was entitled ‘Downtown Underground’ and characterized by a love of that classic analogue sound and several international collaborations. Now heads of their on imprint known as Lapsus Music and considered one of the fundamental cogs in the Italian techno machine we thought the time was right to welcome the duo to deliver a podcast for us here at DT ahead of their London show on August 31st at Lightbox for Talk is Cheap and they didn’t disappoint with a trademark set showcasing their unique blend of blend of tech, funk and acid house highlighting their past influences and careers as musicians to form their own exclusive sound.
