    02. Vinayak^a - Set Her Free (Martin Buttrich Remix) [Subtract Music | SUBTRACT8]

Hailing from the magical land of India, vinayak^a is no stranger to mystical rhythms and mysterious atmospheres. A part of India's ever-growing scene, he's leading the way with a series of releases that explore the deeper side of electronic music. This one is no different! With a deep and warm bassline that picks you up and carries you across like a magic carpet, vinayak^a takes us into his dreamy world with such ease, that the listener cannot help but be transported to the ethereal realms. On the flip-side, German veteran Martin Buttrich disassembles the original into a pair of spacey delights, with his powerful yet atmospheric touch that made him one of the most respected producers around the globe.

    03. The XX - Tides (Dixon Remix) [Innervisions | YT095]

A M A Z I N G remix of the XX from Innervisions lot. Our love for both is a well known fact, so this EP encapsulates a lot of things we dig here at Phonica. Essential to say the least. Bag yourself a copy. These are gonna go like hotcakes.Digital versions available on Young Turks :We teamed up with one our favourite labels, Innervisions for a joint 12" as Young Visions. You can also buy a limited 12" pressing. [Young Turks]

We asked one of our favourite labels, Berlin-based Innervisions, to have three of their artists remix tracks from 'Coexist'. The result is 'Youngvisions', a collaborative release between our label Young Turks and Innervisions. [The XX] Berlin’s Innervisions get three artists on their roster to remix tracks from The xx’s incredible ‘Coexist’. Released on Young Turks, this is a collaborative effort from both labels, and sees Ame, Dixon and Marcus Worgull applying their individual touches to the muted cuts of The xx.

    Dixon
opts for a Balearic club effort, Worgull’s is a dubby builder, and finally Ame goes for lo-fi atmospherics with the spotlight shone on the haunting steel drum. [Bleep.com]Strictly Limited Edition. You better hurry on this one. Âme, Dixon and Marcus Worgull overhaul The xx for refined house 'floors. Each producer envisions the group's fragile soul in their own image, from the slow build and delayed gratification of Âme's take on 'Reunion' to Dixon's posh-trancing turn of 'Tides' to the steady groove of Marcus Worgull's 'Fiction' re-do. 04. André Sobota - Pulsatilla (Henry Saiz Remix) [microCastle | MCSL030]

MCSL030 - Andre Sobota - 'Pulsatilla EP' with Henry Saiz, Electric Rescue and 16 Bit Lolitas Remixes. Andre Sobota returns to microCastle for the labels 30th overall release. The Brazilian producer has continued to impress since his hugely successful 'Surrounded By Time' EP from the summer of 2012. Andre's unique melodic sound has been enchanting electronic music fans over the first half of 2013 and he continues to be a firm favourite of Above and Beyond, Hernan Cattaneo, Sasha, Eric Prydz and Markus Schulz.

We're thrilled to have Andre back on microCastle for his second EP entitled 'Pulsatilla' which includes 3 brand new original productions with remixes from: Henry Saiz, Electric Rescue and 16 Bit Lolitas. The title track has a unique and refreshing summer vibe that might just be one of Andre's most ambitious productions to date. The warm, sun drenched harmonies play off the grungy low end perfectly for what results in a wonderfully warped sounding melodic creation. This is one production that will have nightclub goers transported to a place far more magical than a dark smoky room.

The lone remix of 'Pulsatilla' comes from Henry Saiz who is making his debut on microCastle here. The highly touted Spanish producer has just come off what many feel is this year's best album. 'Reality Is For Those Who Are Not Strong Enough To Confront Their Dreams' was released in early June on Henry's own Natura Sonoris imprint and has electronic music fans from around the world singing his praises. Henry's uniquely organic and abundantly musical sound has melded itself extremely well to 'Pulsatilla'. The result is a production which sounds like the perfect summer anthem. Warm, analogue grooves lay down a funky foundation while catchy vocal hooks and poignant chord changes provide the necessary emotional content which makes for one of Henry's best remix works to date.

The second original 'Full Circle' is a light and airy construction. Andre's creative imagination never ceases to amaze and his dynamic beats and delicately interwoven melodies have never sounded better here. The main break is particularly captivating with its shimmering backdrop, grinding build and idyllic harmonies. The unique melodic themes suspend in your subconscious and lead to the reintroduction of the beats for a warm rush of emotion which closes the record out extremely strong. Electric Rescue makes his first appearance on microCastle and provides the lone remix of 'Full Circle'. The French producer just released his ground breaking 'Sonic Architecture' LP on Bedrock and his unique take on techno is routinely championed by Laurent Garnier and John Digweed. For his 'Full Circle' interpretation Electric Rescue has crafted a deep techno rework that comes with an immense dance floor presence. Big character laden beats along with rhythmic stabs and dynamic fills generate some huge momentum throughout. A spectacular remix from Electric Rescue which should be huge on the techno floors all summer.Andre's third and final original on the release 'Lights' would be the most techno oriented piece on the collection. Backed by a driving groove, scattered drum elements and a wavering hypnotic energy which is totally infectious 'Lights' is the ultimate epic conclusion to the three compositions from Andre.

The lone remix of 'Lights' comes from 16 Bit Lolitas who are returning to microCastle for their 11th overall appearance. The Dutch duo's 'Personal Space' (released in 2010) has been one of microCastle's best selling tracks and their recent Warung Brazil and Supermarket albums have been fan favourites over the last year. For their 'Lights' interpretation 16 Bit Lolitas have delivered one of their most musical creations to date. An intricate sounding groove sits at the foundation while warm bassy swells and blissful themes carry the track to the main break. The post rock style interlude goes down as one of 16 Bit Lolitas finest moments. A slow building wave of majestic sounding melody that crescendos with a divine, invigorating force that will leave you thoroughly elated.Released by: microCastle Release/catalogue number: MCSL030 "This is pure sunshine (and not in the visually-striking-but-ultimately-deeply-disappointing-Danny-Boyle-film sense). The main melody line from the original is transmuted into a catchy guitar-like riff that runs through most of the track, while gigantic chord changes, clipped, twisted vocal samples, and layers of strings sounds mesh together to deliver one of the year’s bright spots. Henry obviously set to make the most joyful, summery record he could, and he’s outdone himself with this effort." [Release Official Review]

    05. Jemmy - Waterloo Blues (Yousef Circus Remix) [Bedrock Digital | Beddigi-36]

Anyone who was at the Bedrock party in Liverpool earlier this year will know that this is a musical city through and through, so its great to see one of Liverpool’s finest up and coming talents releasing his excellent music on John Digweed’s label. Jemmy’s Bedrock debut “Quarry Bank” appeared on the Bedrock 14 compilation in 2012 and paved the way for this debut single release“Waterloo Blues” is pure summer sunshine magic with its delicious swirling melodies and scratchy beats.

Jemmy has always eschewed genre, his knowledge and love for music from right across the spectrum, as well as his own unique sound, means he appeals to a wide range of DJs, borne out by the fact that the likes of John Digweed, Danny Tenaglia, Slam & Paco Osuna are giving him their support.Jemmy is also making a big impact on the world of electronic music with his long standing DJ residencies with Freeze, as well as for the mighty Cream across Europe. He also has the rare and impressive claim of being the world’s first ever DJ to play at Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral! During the day Jemmy runs his own record shop and label – Liverpool’s world-renowned 3B Records. It’s no wonder that big things are happening for this super-talented young man!

Fellow scouser and Circus master, Yousef, lends his support with his Circus Rework of “Waterloo Blues”, taking it on a deeper hypnotic journey to create a perfect package. The top rank international DJ, producer, club promoter and music aficionado shows exactly why he is at the top of his game and so respected.

    06. Gabriel Ananda - Let It In And Let It Out [Suara | SUARA097]

Gabriel Ananda is on Suara. Yes, you heard it well. The "Kaiser" Ananda, is on Suara. One of the stars from the electronic music scene has chosen our kitty label to release a pair of pearls that definitely will make you goosebumps.

"Let It In And Let It Out" is in tune, a pure polished melody that can melt very delicately the stronguest heart, not for whiners. "The Hunt" is a little bit darker, a bit more focused on the dancefloor, very minimalistic but full of sounds, from the lower keys to the higher ones. This is "Let It In and Let It Out EP", a colorful mixing. This is Gabriel Ananda one of the best german producers of our times.

This is Suara, a label where all genres fit in.

    07. Gui Boratto - We Can Go [Kompakt | KOM 285]

A true KOMPAKT stalwart since his inaugural 2005 offering „Arquipélago“, GUI BORATTO shot to prominence thanks to his audacious live sets and an expansive release portfolio. With highly acclaimed club hits like „Beautiful Life“ or „No Turning Back“ to his name, the Brazilian producer captured audiences from all over the globe and continues to do so with his latest concoction TOO LATE, a wonderfully pop- infused 12“ hosting two magnetic floorbusters and an abundance of style.GUI BORATTO's tracks are often considered the swiss army knives of club music, as they never fail to ignite a spark in the laziest of crowds, whatever its context or complexion. That might be due to the producer's keen sense of ear-popping melodies and hip-swinging beats, a ridiculously catchy combination that clearly transcends simple notions of genre.

Title track TOO LONG is no different, starting off as a pleasantly relaxed exercise in house and ramping up the immersion levels with finely tuned female vocals that owe as much to classic pop stylings as they do to the textures of club music.

In the meantime, the flipside runs rampant with WE CAN GO, a hearty banger sporting a fierce bassline and some pretty gripping beats ready for world domination. The distinctive male vocals may bring a message of peace, but it shouldn't be mistaken for surrender – this is an authoritative voice taking a stance, not the plushy whining of the spoiled and spineless. An exceedingly powerful slice of floor-sweeping glory, it's another testament to the well-honed skill set that GUI BORATTO brings to the table, and a hugely successful at that.

Together, these tracks represent some of his finest work to date, giving club punters world-wide a perfectly valid reason to show up in full regalia.

    08. Project AKC - 25 Years [Soma | SOMA372D]

PROJECT AKC returns to Soma with his second EP 25 Years. After the success of his first single, he delivers another 2 rolling techno numbers with a fantastic groove25 Years kicks things off with subtle rolling sub bass and percussion, looping gently a slight drop allows the hi-hat to drop and pushes a more funked out bassline in your face. Cut up vocals jump in and out as the track continues to flow perfectly, pausing only momentarily before the break keeping an air of consistency in the groove that slams back in with full force. This is one that will certainly keep the dance floor moving.Monkey Thief begins with a more simple, minimalistic groove but will instantly have feet moving and hands clapping with its firm beat and crisp high hats. Ever evolving percussion and tweeks filter in to push the track along. A definite master of the groove, PROJEC AKC easily uses short, percussive samples to always keep both the listener and dancer engaged in this track.PROJECT AKC delivers another perfect 2 track EP which will go down well this summer!

    09. Julian Jeweil - Green Room (She's Hot EP) [M_nus | minusMAX10]

Pushing back into MAX territory, Julian Jeweil delivers his second full M_nus EP. Bubbling with melodic intention Julian's foundation of deep bass drives us all forward in repetitions that hold fast in our minds & memories.1st pressing of 500 copies in limited embossed sleeve & 180g Vinyl."France's Julian Jeweil returns to the iconic Minus with a rather unusual bag of tricks, and to be honest, we're really digging it down here at Juno HQ. "She's Hot" is rolling and tech-fuelled but slightly more joyful than many other releases on Richie Hawtin's legendary catalogue. "Green Room" is slightly more Minus-oriented with Jeweil's hypnotising groove is a classic floor stomper, but it's "Snake Dance" which takes all the attention with its meandering synths and precision-controlled percussion, making it a welcome addition to both Jeweil's catalogue and Hawtin's institution."
