Acclaimed producer Anders Trentemøller indulges in some Danish melancholy in order to pay sonic tribute to his favourite time of year and his upcoming new album, Lost.
“Fall! My favourite time of the year”, says Anders. “I love the smell, the colours, the light, the decay, the wind in the trees, the rain on the window… the sound of it!”
Aiming to capture the steady and sedate sound of autumn, Trentemøller conjures scenes of falling leaves and slowly encroaching nights. For the artwork, Anders has selected a stunning image of Frank Lloyd Wright’s famous residence, Fallingwater – an architectural masterpiece that comes alive in the orange glow of autumn.
Aided by a succession of songs about longing and loss from the likes of Sparklehorse and The Cure, Trentemøller’s mix mirrors the themes of his latest LP.
