For me, Sasha commited the sin back in 2004 when he started playing Felix Da Housecat - Watching Cars Go By which brought prog rock into prog house... and that gave way to the electro mess for the next few years.

And his essential mix with digweed this year,
was one of the worse mixes ever.
completly out of line.

Ricky is one of my favourite,
His style is unique mixing the
best deep house, melodic, downtempo
house and everything thats sounds good
with long transitions between the mixes,
His taste for the music is great.

You should try with some of his recent shows in PyR.

I dug up a 2004 Sasha set and gave it another listen. "Watching Cars Go By" is not really bad at all. It was really Spektrum - Kinda New (Tiefschwarz Dub) that I didn't like... prog rock/electros ensued thereafter.

I was listening to "sasha_&_digweed_-_renaissance_essential_mix_09-may-2004"... first hour is bangin' (Digs). Second hour, Sasha's on a different planet for me (not in a good way).

I'd describe Ricky Ryan as cruisy and easy-listening. I don't think I've ever heard a banging set from him. Actually FO I was gonna recommend him and Marcelo Vasami in your request thread in P&R.

there is a lot of good new music out there but finding it in today genre definitions is hard.... its just total confusion.... totally messed up
