Resident of Chicago's legendary Smart Bar, The Black Madonna is up this week. Alongside Derrick Carter, Kate Simko and Frankie Knuckles she spins regularly at one of the most notorious venues in the spiritual home of US House. She's been gaining experience in the DJ game for years and years, comfortable spinning right across the board; all vinyl from techno to disco and everything in-between. Madonna is also a fine producer, her recent release on Argot Records has been doing the business for us, and it's also worth checking her back catalogue; which includes a split release together with Chicago Disco Master DJ Rahaan. Be prepared to pay the big bucks on Discogs for it though! With her first Euro Tour about to begin, including a date in Panoramabar no less, the future looks bright for The Black Madonna. From listening to this podcast, we most definitely agree.
