01. Feroziana - The Final Touch [Bedrock Digital | BEDDDIGI38]
Having recently celebrated their 15th year in the business and releasing the acclaimed 'Versus' album by John Digweed & Nick Muir, Bedrock Records kick off their autumn schedule in fine style with an absolute cracker in the form of 'The Final Touch', by newcomer Feroziana.
Road tested over the past few months by John Digweed from summer festivals through to his Pacha residency in Ibiza this track will spread a little bit of summer warmth over the forthcoming winter evenings.
Shimmering piano chords cascade over swung percussion hypnotizing you in a gorgeous groove with sweeping strings taking things to another level. It's a truly captivating track that pulls the listener in and just does not let go and leaves you wanting more as the track comes to an end. Feroziana must have had trouble giving this track an ending as it feels like it could just go on forever. Released as a single track this is almost a guarantee of just how strong a track 'The Final Touch' is. Enjoy.

02. Robert Babicz - Rosegarden (2013 ADE Collection) [Selador Recordings | SEL006]
Selador is a brand new independent underground dance music label from Dave Seaman & Steve Parry, specialising in underground house to underground Techno, and all of the various flavours in-between.
The 2013 ADE Collection features long established artists like Chris Fortier, Robert Babicz, G-Pal, Piemont and Rob Hes alongside newer names such as SEFF, Han Haak and XY to name just a few.
[Data Transmission Review]
Selador Recordings’ 2013 ADE Collection displays a solid balance by incorporating emerging tech house talent such as Han Haak and SEFF alongside prolific veterans like Robert Babicz and G-Pal. The compilation, a preview of sounds the label will be showcasing at this year’s vibrant five day Amsterdam Dance Event kicking off October 16th, encapsulates the deep house to techno range the Selador label has championed since its April, 2013 launch.
Fade Records boss Chris Fortier kicks things off with the dubby, chopped-up vocal and heavy bass of “Talk about the Music.” The universal elements give the house track a timeless quality and a versatility to work in a variety of sets and styles. Following up their “Raw Symphony” release late last year for Cocoon on the Dots and Pearls II compilation, Danito and Agent! deliver “Sinco Sin” with its sleazy surf guitar riffage and Fatboy-sized filter mayhem.
German duo Piemont has crafted a gem of almost Kollektiv Turmstrasse proportions with their clunky, organic percussion and subtle melodic touches on “Been Around.” It’s a step forward from last month’s “Give It Up” single for the Selador label while SEFF’s “Visions” feels like a more compact, less dangerous B-side to Maxxi Soundsystem’s “Stella’s Way.”
Fresh off of their Sudbeat EP release that included the growling yet emotive “Choices,” Rob Hes and Steve Slight opt for a more restrained approach with the thumping “Shoot.” The duo is enjoying a breakout year and will return to the label in the near future with a release of their own. Swedish newcomer Vrong makes a very impressive debut with “Gimme Sum,” a crushing tribal houser that’s been in Selador boss, Dave Seaman’s sets for months and for good reason.
“Rosegarden” is the latest slice of Babicz-style from the German maestro and continues in the epic spirit of “Remote Kiss.” Patient yet ultimately explosive, a tough low end is taken by force as distorted arcing synths overpower the groove in the break. Expect more from Babicz on Selador in the near future as well.
Releasing a compilation so early is a bold move for any budding label seeking to carve out its musical identity. However, Seaman proves to be successful with the 2013 ADE Collection by curating a cohesive group of quality tracks that reside at a crossroads of tech, deep and techno sounds. Embracing the philosophy of blending rising talent with established artists has led to some pretty inspired results for the Selador label.

06. Booka Shade - Love Inc (Hot Since 82 Remix) [Embassy One | BMV0026]
When Walter Merziger and Arno Kammermeier head to the studio to work on new material for their long time project Booka Shade, the result is a winning combination of underground sensation and club hit, as titles such as Mandarine Girl and Body Language have proved to great acclaim. Its a balancing act that only the most successful electronic musicians can do so successfully over such a period of time. Booka Shades new single >Love Inc< is no exception. Presaging the fifth studio album release from these Berlin transplants,>Love Inc< is infused with pure club sound created by merging a refined sense of sonance with solid craftsmanship. The duo pays a contemporary homage to Chicagos former king of house, Lil Louis, whose 1992 hit Club Lonely serves as the tracks sample.
[Xposed Media]
Booka Shade are Berlin-based duo Walter Merziger and Arno Kammermeier. They have emerged as one of the most pioneering electronic music acts of the past two decades. Booka Shade return with their new album ‘Eve’ released on 1st November through Blaufield Music/Embassy One/Onelove Recordings, preceeded by first single ‘Love Inc’. For their fifth studio album, Booka Shade wanted to tell a new story, a story which represented a new beginning for them after they had almost split up during the first half of the production. In order to create something exciting they needed to be somewhere exciting and in search of inspiration, so they headed to the UK home of electronic music Manchester, to record at the acclaimed Eve studios, a residential vintage recording studio. This is where they found themselves together again, where the music came to life and why the album is named after the studio. “We recorded an electronic album in a traditional way and it made us feel like a band again, it was like going back to the beginning.” The 12 track album includes special guests Fritz Helder (Azari & III), Fritz Kalkbrenner and Groove Armada’s Andy Cato on trombone. Artwork was conceived and designed by La Boca to provide a rich and vivid visual accompaniment to ‘Eve’.
Booka Shade’s singles have historically been both underground sensations and club hits (such as ‘Mandarine Girl’ and ‘Body Language’) and new single ‘Love Inc’ looks set to follow in those footsteps. ‘Love Inc’ is infused with pure club sound, paying a contemporary homage to Chicago’s former king of house, Lil Louis whose 1992 hit ‘Club Lonely’ serves as the track’s sample. Friend and art director Thomas Hayo was brought on board to direct the song’s music video in the vein of their last collaboration on ‘Sweet Lies.’ Remixes come from artists including: Hot Since 82, Butch, Emperor Machine and ABBY.
About Booka Shade: In 2002 Booka Shade formed dance label ‘Get Physical’ with M.A.N.D.Y, Thomas ‘DJ T’ Koch and production partner Peter Hayo and became one of the world’s key dance labels. They released their first three albums on ‘Get Physical’ ‘Memento‘ (2004), ‘Movements’ (2006) & ‘The Sun & The Neon Light‘ (200. Their last album ‘More!’ (2010) was released on Cooperative Music. Tracks such as ‘Night Falls’, ‘Mandarine Girl’ and ‘In White Rooms’ became crossover hits and arguably their biggest hit ‘Body Language’ which is sung by festival goers the world over and was also used as a sample by will.i.am in ‘Get Your Money’ in 2007. Their most recent DJ mix ‘Tomorrow Belongs To Us’ reached #1 on the Beatport chart in 2012. The Berlin pair went on to become highly sought after remixers lending their magic touch to artists such as: Depeche Mode, Moby, Yello, Hot Chip, Kings Of Leon, Tiga and The Knife. Booka Shade have earned a huge live reputation with their substantial and innovative live shows and in 2010 were named by Resident Advisor as one of the world’s ‘Top 5 live acts.’ Already this year, they have opened for Depeche Mode at the first show of their current world tour in Tel Aviv and headlined the ‘Gobi Stage’ at Coachella. In 2012, they were hand picked by BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong to mix his annual ‘All Gone Ibiza’ compilation. DJ appearances so far this year have included the ‘Space Ibiza’ opening party and a range of U.S festivals including the ‘Electric Daisy Carnival’ in Las Vegas.
