South West defenders-of-bass, Stanton Warriors have been playing, mixing, and releasing music for well over a decade. In a day and age where the need for immediacy and the new is so great that the single takes precedence and a stellar album has become almost a lost art form, Dominic Butler and Mark Yardley have managed to release albums and four volumes of their Stanton Sessions to much critical and popular acclaim. Previously signed to XL Recordings, the duo now operate their own label, Punks. Their relevance and influence in the scene has grown with every year and Stanton Sessions Vol. 4, released just a few months back, simply reaffirmed their position atop the bass pedestal.
