    02. Bleecker - Hatha Rhythm (Once Again EP) [Hang Music | HM002]

One half of Lrusse and Bleecker, the Bristol artist describes his music as a mixture of noise, texture, found-sound recordings, acoustic instruments, analogue synthesis, and bass. Bleecker has an accomplished back-story in dubstep as Wedge & through his own If Symptoms Persist imprint.

'New music featuring live Hang from Craig R Ninjah and vocal harmonies from Sophie G.The music is made up of live Hang Drum with found sound percussive elements, as well as some textural recordings and analogue synths.'

    03. Lakosa & Rick Grant - Temptations (Kornél Kovács Remix) [Tender Hooks | THKS002]

"For our second 12" release, Lakosa & Rick Grant deliver 'Static / Temptations', a smoky lo-fi techno workout featuring remixes from Kornél Kovács and Severn Beach. Early support from Breach, tINI, Dark Sky, Pedestrian, West Norwood Cassette Library, Mr. Beatnick to name a few. Available from December 9th 2013. We'll be celebrating its release along with a host of ridiculous talent at Corsica Studios on Dec 7th w/ Ripperton, Anton Zap, Alexander Nut, Romare, Kodiak, Lakosa & Rick Grant." [Lakosa]

For the second release on London-based Tender Hooks, Lakosa & Rick Grant deliver 'Static / Temptations', a smoky lo-fi techno workout featuring remixes from Kornél Kovács and Severn Beach.

With releases on George Fitzgerald's ManMakeMusic and TAKE Records (which he runs a third of), Rick Grant has for the last few years been honing his craft. His recent collaborator, Birmingham-come-London resident Stef Smith aka Lakosa has been releasing a steady stream of garage-inflected Techno for 2nd Drop, Kerri Chandler's Madtech Records and many more.

Opening track 'Static' is a dusty late-night groover. Indistinguishable samples ebb and flow around the beats before a bumping bass movement delivers the muscle.

'Temptations' is a darker cut of sooty techno. A meaty drum pattern provides the backbone while subtle synth motifs and vocal nuances float throughout.

Severn Beach steps up with a burgeoning dancefloor edit of 'Temptations'. The somewhat darker alias of house maestro James Fox, Severn Beach pushes the envelope for high-gain, warm & punchy techno. With releases for Audio Culture set to drop this year and a brace of other exciting projects, we're excited to have this talent on board.

Fresh out of Sweden's Barnhus Studio comes Kornél Kovács, rounding off the EP with a startling, melancholic remix of 'Temptations'. Completely flipping the vibe of the original on its head, Kovács masterfully weaves the source material into non-linear forms with plenty of "strössel" on top.

Tender Hooks is a label & bi-monthly(ish) party residing at Corsica Studios in South London. The second Tender Hooks release will be available on limited-press vinyl.

    04. Cropper - Forever [Blah Blah Blah Records | BBB010]

In Renato Pagnani’s (Pitchfork) own words: “Forever, is a hybrid of disparate-but- complimentary moods. Dark, crawling bass spreads out across the house track like stretched molasses, evoking the kind of late-night dread that comes with finding yourself alone in an unfamiliar neighborhood long after last call, but there's a warmth to this low-end rumble that prevents "Forever" from holding you at arm's length as it twists and turns. This bittersweet ache is given yet another dimension thanks to the vocals looped throughout the track, which are simultaneously defiant and vulnerable.........”

    Selected Feedback:
Maya Jane Coles - “Nice deepness!” (4/5)
Laurent Garnier - “Great track --- loooove it” (4/5)
Tensnake - “Great bass cut” (4/5)

Released by: Blah Blah Blah Records
Format: 300 Limited one sided 12" vinyl / Digital
    Release date: Dec 2, 2013

    [Earmilk]

London based producer Niall Cropper kills it’s with his track “Forever.” Marking the 10th release for Brighton club night turned label, Blah Blah Blah, Cropper creates a jazzy garage house track that’s perfect for matching that late night club energy. From the start, looped bittersweet vocals and rumbling bass lock you in for the whirlwind of syncopated beats and shuffling hi hats that follow. He has a fresh sound that couples nicely with contemporaries like Disclosure and Detroit Swindle. Look for Cropper's "Forever" on December 2nd. It will be available digitally, and also physically as a 12-inch.

Director Ian Coulson did a great job with music video for this. The girl in the video has the perfect attitude and expression for the vocals in Cropper's track. It all gets summed up by that sassy: “I need a man, don’t need a boy. Don’t play with me, ‘cause I’m not a toy.” I’m not exactly sure what she's up to in her adventures, but all I know is that I want to join if we’re dancing to this, like that at the end of the day.

    05. Cristoph - Big H Ep [Nordic Trax | NT075]

Cristoph 'Big H EP' w/ Nacho Marco Remix #NT075 is out 12/10/13

Christoph bringing to you bouncy square-wave basslines and snappy piano on his release "Big H EP" on the Canadian house imprint, Nordic Trax.

Known for bringing pre-prime artists to the foreground, Luke McKeehan’s Vancouver based ‘Nordic Trax’ curates another promising talent in Cristoph. Rich with experience in DJing and musicianship, Cristoph’s ‘Big H’ EP comes forged as an effective collection of bass-driven Deep House that’s been road tested during his sets in Ibiza and across Europe.

Big H chugs out of the starting blocks with reverberated congas and syncopated hat sequences. Nifty melodicism and tenebrous vocal chops sit above a robust foundation as tension continues to climb to the close.

Nacho Marco’s remix wades in with neatly mapped percussion ahead of some allaying synth tones and a rich bass pattern. The vocals glow through piano stabs as tension lifts and falls throughout.

VMC kicks off with palpable claps and hats swinging alongside panned vocal chops and a taught kick. A hypnotic synth sequence skewers through the mix before vocals are layered to hand-raising effect whilst the Dub version keeps things anchored down with a slightly more brooding atmosphere.

Waal is a jackin and physical production. In a manner akin to Eats Everything, muscular bass patterns and immaculately plotted vocal shops gambol in and catch the listener off guard. The peak of a stretched rise falls in with enough gusto to guarantee a reaction from a prime time dance floor.

    06. Tiga VS Audion - Lets Go Dancing (Maya Jane Coles Dancing In The Deep Remix) [Turbo Recordings | TURBO153]

Forged in the fire of recent studio sessions for Tiga’s next artist album, ‘Let’s Go Dancing’ is the collaboration between the Canadian producer and Audion aka Matthew Dear. An epic in all senses of the word (the full version clocks in at 9 minutes), ‘Let’s Go Dancing’ is a brilliant piece of hypnotic, primal techno.

Remixes come courtesy of some of the hottest producers of the moment: Breach, Solomun and Maya Jane Coles, alongside rising Turbo star joeFarr.

Rave survivor, electro upstart and someone who appreciates a good mascara, Tiga is musical evolution personified. Over the past few years, Tiga has repeatedly toured the globe and further bolstered the international reputation of his record label, Turbo. In November 2012, Tiga unleashed a brand new mix LP ‘Tiga Non-Stop’, that featured three original tracks ‘The Picture’ – released on Crosstown Rebels for their anniversary / 100th release – ‘Track City Bitch’ and his last single, ‘Plush’. Remix-wise, he’s reworked Depeche Mode, the xx, Jamie Lidell, Alter Ego, Fever Ray, Moby and most recently, Duke Dumont.

Matthew Dear (aka Audion) is an electronic-music innovator, DJ and live performer, and the founder of label Spectral Sound (sister imprint to Ghostly International). Dear’s dark alter ego Audion first emerged in 2004, unveiling a trilogy of singles that would ultimately re-align today’s techno sound. In 2006, Audion followed the series with the breakthrough club anthem ‘Mouth To Mouth’, a constantly ascending work of art that has captured the imagination of DJs and fans in all club genres worldwide. 2013 has seen the return of the Audion sound, with new material forthcoming.

    07. Re.You - Do I Know (Anja Schneider Remix) [Mobilee Records | MOBILEE 121]

Re.You is back amongst the Mobilee fold with a third instalment of his signature dark and heavy-hitting dancefloor beats. His masterful EP “Mind Your Head” topped the charts in 2012, and this year’s drum-heavy summer smash “Anyway” remains a firm DJ favourite, even as the nights get longer and the season comes to a close.

“Do I Know” takes the classic Re.You formula of walloping kicks, freewheeling drums and spacious sound design and reworks it with a deep autumnal mood. The foundations of “Do I Know” are formed around a thick rubbery bassline and clipped percussion before spiralling off into twisted dancefloor trickery; Skewed voices, wonky keys, and a broken breakdown melody. Anja Schneider is adding a completely stripped down remix of “Do I Know” taking the original into another dimension.

“Hurt Me” hones in on jungle drums and whispered voices for the ultimate alternate reality. Sounds and melodies bubble and float as if somewhere underwater, and a heavy bassline helps the track to plunge even further into deepness. “The Whistle” is a deep tribal jam with crystal-clear percussive layers and evocative nature sounds that take it right to the middle of a secret voodoo ritual. It’s a haunting trio that affirms Re.You as one of tech house’s brightest rising stars.

Chart-topping electronic duo Röyksopp present ‘Running To The Sea’ - their first new single since 2011, which is now set for worldwide release following its no.1 chart success in their native Norway.

‘Running To The Sea’ features stunning vocals by the platinum-selling Norwegian artist Susanne Sundfřr, and this epic, sweeping track glistens with moving beauty.

    [Earmilk Review]

You might have heard of Mexican production duo Pachanga Boys under their more experimental name Hippie Dance. But the boys are back under the former to remix the uber famous, boundary breaking electronic band Royksopp's "Running to the Sea" that came out earlier this year and features the soft but powerful vocals of Susanne Sundfor. Mexico and Norway might look like an unusual combination on paper, but boy does it sound right through headphones for a hypnotising 12 minutes and 14 seconds. With a sprawling bass line and dark progressive sound, Pachanga Boys transform "Running to the Sea" to a stripped down underground track that will be out for purchase at the end of the month.

    [Lagasta Review]

You can always count on quality from Pachanga Boys. Fresh off the release of their great “Jagwar Pawar” version of Sydney’s Jagwar Ma latest single “Come Save Me”, Kompakt’s Hippie Dance duo of Superpitcher and Rebolledo offers us yet another epic ride with their new remix of Röyksopp’s “Running To The Sea”, featuring fellow Norwegian singer-songwriter Susanne Sundfřr. Clocking in at over 12 minutes long, this slow-burner is the finest remix we’ve heard of “Running To The Sea”. A ride not to be missed!

Röyksopp’s “Running To The Sea”, the pair’s first proper release since 2011, along with remixes by the likes of Late Nite Tuff Guy, Villa, Seven Lions, Man Without Country, Magnus & Timon, and DJ HMC, will drop on November 22 exclusively on Beatport. Below, you can stream the single’s b-side, the beautiful melancholy track “Something In My Heart”, featuring vocals from Jamie McDermott, of orchestral pop group The Irrepressibles.
