Anyone purchase an activity tracker yet?

Talking about the likes of FitBit Force, Nike Fuelband, Jawbone Up, etc. So far I'm torn between the Fitbit Force / Nike Fuelband. Although the Fitbit Force is a much better (in terms of its functioning) device, the Nike Fuelband has it nailed as far as look / physical aesthetics go.

Anyone have any opinion about these or any other trackers?

I won't be back until next Tuesday, so if Get Carter is the correct answer, I would appreciate of someone else posts a new cap for me

Don't see the point of them.

I got pics and video. But I will upload them in the morning. I need to smoke this nice phat joint and just close my eyes and replay the amazingness in my head.

I thought the same as well, but getting back to a desk job really meant I needed to keep myself motivated to at the very least take that 1/2 an hour walk to the train station.

I was reading this as a general guide: REVIEW: The Nike FuelBand Versus The Fitbit Force | Business Insider
There are more reviews out there,

Could be a product endorser, but still I have heard from other sources that the Force is the superior product. Cheaper, more ergonomic, sleek, and more reliable however, it does need it's own separate charger.

This is exactly the reason I want one. I barely have enough time to focus on anything in my life anymore (other than wanting to spend every breathing moment with my daughter) and so using Pedometer apps that are designed to work with the M7 chip in the iPhone 5S have been exceptionally helpful (and motivating) in terms of getting me to spend more active time (considering I'm walking 10 times more than before, trying to walk my daughter to sleep or just walking around the house with her).

And to see graphs of previous weeks and to try and best my step count with each passing day. Not to mention the weight savings (I've dropped almost 20 lbs since Oct 10th).

But as I get increasingly conscious to stay active and motivated to keep the weight off, I've begun to realize the shortcomings that the iPhone has where I need to make sure it is on me at all times, which is realistically not feasible, especially in the middle of the night when it's charging and I forget to carry it.

This is where wearable activity trackers come in very handy. You don't really need to take them off, the FitBit force has a 7 day battery life that can realistically go on until 9-10 days and has a handy iPhone app so you can still use your phone to view your data and performance.

Have been eyeing these up as well, but fuel bands don't seem to pair with android. Do any of the others?

I took the plunge with the Fitbit Force and so far I'm digging it. The vibrating alarm and the animations when you hit your daily target are pretty good. Although it seems to be more sensitive than the iPhone app, it could be that the iPhone app itself was less sensitive since keeping the phone in your shirt pocket as opposed to in your jeans resulted in fewer step-counts. Other than that, the distance traveled, calories burnt, steps climbed, all of them are really good.

If you're looking to pick up a fitness tracker this holiday season, you won't do better than the Fitbit Force. When you use the promo code BLOGGERS15OFF at Best Buy today, you can get it for $20 off, which is about as cheap as you'll find it before Christmas
